I ask to leave the apartment as it was found. Cleaning equipment and cleaning agents are also present in the apartment. :-)
The apartment is located in a nice neighborhood with a lot of restaurants and bars and public transportation just around the corner. Iris and her husband welcomed us and even kept us a parking space. Iris gave us a tour of the apartment and tips where to go. Everything you need is present in the apartment. If you're looking for a place to stay I recommend this place.
The apartment exceeded our expectations. It was obviously a home and therefore was a delight to stay there and feel as though we were at home. If the sun was shining, which it did often in the the two weeks we stayed, it was sometimes difficult the apartment to leave to be culturally uplifted by a museum or an art gallery. The public transport connectivity by train and bus was so easy to get to any part of Berlin. Iris was very welcoming and helpful. We would and will recommend it to anyone.

Even though we arrived at the apartment quite late, Iris was there to meet us and easily contactable to let her know when we were arriving. She was a great host, explained everything in the apartment, which was absolutely wonderful and gave us a few tips on things we could do nearby. The area itself is great with shops bars and restaurants all very close by and at the end of the street is MauerPark where you can karaoke in front of thousands of people! As we left quite late on the Tuesday night, Iris allowed us to use the apartment as our base which was extremely kind and generous and we were extremely grateful.
Thank you for your warmth, generosity and hospitality Iris. We would recommend your place to anyone and everyone. 10 out of 10.
Staying here was a wonderful experience. Iris who friendly helpful and speaks very good English, met us and showed us around.. The apartment is fantastic and is equipped with everything you could need for your stay. The bed is very comfortable. In short you feel as if you have one over on anybody staying in a hotel! The area is fascinating with many restaurants including two Vietnamese restaurants downstairs which were inexpensive and good. The apartment is only a few minutes from the station. It was a great introduction to Berlin. We woul,d go back to this apartment without hesitation.
The apartment is beautiful and fully equipped. There is lovely light coming in through big windows that look out on a pretty street just off one of the best food and shopping streets in Prenslauer Berg. It was windy, chilly and rainy , then finally nice while I was there in late March/early April, and I felt quite snug the whole time in the apartment. There was everything I needed in the kitchen, including basics like oil and vinegar so I didn't need to buy a whole bottle of oil to make a salad. The apartment is spacious and just as pretty as the pictures.
The neighborhood can't be beat. There are lively cafes and bars around the corner, but the apartment itself is quiet. There is excellent Vietnamese and Italian food at very reasonable prices just steps from the front door, with equally well priced Indian and Lebanese within a block. A coffee shop with amazing flaky croissants across the street. If you walk a couple of blocks there is a supermarket, tourist office, brewery turned cultural center, and myriad boutiques and more restaurants. The U-bahn is a block away.
Iris was a perfect hostess. She responded very quickly to all my emails, and checked in before my trip, after I was in Berlin for a couple of days, and near the end of my 9 day visit to see if I needed anything and to confirm arrangements. She provided dining suggestions and ordered my airport taxi. I would absolutely return to this apartment if I am lucky enough to return to Berlin. Thanks Iris!
The apartment is large, and the description is very accurate. The best part of the apartment is the great location, with very easy access to the U2 and numerous rails and buses. There are a ton of restaurants and bars and a very close bio (organic) market. The bathroom is nice with a large, comfortable bathtub and the apartment has great classic touches and high ceilings, yet modern appliances and conveniences. The balcony is very nice on a sunny day, and on the third floor, its sunny through the early afternoon. The pillows on the bed were not to my tastes, but the bed was more than big enough for two people.
Overall, I would recommend this apartment.
