The Space

This apartment is my sanctuary. I keep it clean, tidy; it's quiet and calm. In the summer, the apartment has a lovely breeze coming from the east river, and for environmental and l keep it ventilated with window fans. I do have AC in hand if you really need it but l prefer the breeze and fresh air. In the winter it is well heated through a building system.

The Neighborhood

Greenpoint is chic and cool now with bars and restaurants, but it has a history. Located in the heart of the historical district, two blocks from the east river, the neighborhood is safe at all times, it has coffee shops and great restaurants and to name a few: "Paulie Gee's"- best pizza restaurant in the city around the corner. "Five Leaves"- the most famous and trendy best breakfast /brunch. "Vamos Al Tequila" most fresh and authentic Mexican food down the block. And many polish restaurants but “Karczma" tops them all, where waitresses serve food in authentic polish outfits- this one is a trip! Bars, boutiques, organic food markets ("The Garden" my choice) yoga studios, independent book stores, pharmacies, and too many parks to count in just a walking distance ( WNYC Transmitter Park is two blocks away) . The local polish population keeps the neighborhood green and lovely, and with lots of authentic bakeries. Another thing, this neighborhood is fairy inexpensive comparing to Manhattan or near Williamsburg. “Peter Pen donut shop" will nock you off, one of the oldest and best donut establishments in the country. The "McCarran Pool" is one of the largest pools in the country. It opened in 1936, and was renovated lately, this is a must see! and is free in the summer- just a walking distance from here. Summer in Greenpoint is so much fun it feels like a beach town!

Getting Around

The subway station is one block away. that is the Gt train. You get to the city in 20 minutes. the ferry is a block away and will take you to the city in 10 minutes. And you can easily find a green cab outside.

Other Things to Note

The apartment has another small bedroom. That bedroom is sometime rented as well and sometimes it's ampty. You might be sharing the bathroom and the kitchen but ask about that. In any case, the two room are strictly and only for your own use.
