My Wife and I had a great time staying at Shatki's apartment. Every detail was perfect, the communication was very speedy and responsive, they adjusted the check in time for us and the place itself was perfect. It is really situated in a great location, very close to all sorts of fantastic city night life and everything we could have needed was provided for. If I ever get the chance I would love to stay there again, A+!
Everything is fine! Shakti is extremely friendly and the apartment is nice and clean and very central. We would go there again.
The apartment is nice and cosy and, above all, perfectly located (really, almost everything is near by and the metro connections so easy) The neighborhood itself is great as well, with plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, bars and shops... Shakti was very welcoming and always responded to our emails very quickly. The only negative thing, that we can't blame her for, was the noise of a construction site in the building right next to her place.
My sister and I were traveling to NYC for a conference at the Skirball Center in Washington Square on Superbowl weekend, so we were very concerned about finding a place to stay. We'd never heard of airbnb before, so I was a little apprehensive about staying in someone's space that I did not know. However, we decided to give it a try.
From the moment I placed my inquiry to checkout, Shakti was there every step of the way to make sure our experience was the best. Shakti was very responsive to all of my questions and she even called a few days in advance to confirm our stay! Check-in was a breeze and the apartment was clean and cozy and felt like home.
The apartment is located in a great spot, with a parking garage maybe a block and a half away and is conveniently located to other great sites. People were very friendly in the area and there were plentiful restaurants, shops, and so on within easy walking distance. If you are traveling to NYC Greenwich Village, definitely check out Shakti's place.
Good location in Greenwich Village, surrounded by yummy food.
Very close to the train station which gets you everywhere. The walls of the apartment are quite thin so you'll hear neighbors going up the stairs and the construction in the morning - but hey, its a small price to pay to stay in this little cute apartment.
Communications with Shakti was easy and she replied almost immediately every time.
We had an excellent stay at Shakti's apartment in Greenwich village. The location could not have been more convenient with the West 4th and Houston subway stations so close making it easy to zip around the city no problem.
She was very flexible for our check-in and check-out times which was much appreciated. Her assistant was helpful in showing us everything we needed to know about the apartment. It is one flight up so even though we didn't have much luggage, it would be good for someone coming with luggage.
There were plenty of linens and kitchen utensils and things for cooking like a little pan and pots plus basics like salt/pepper/oil/tea which were nice added touches.
The only downside is that there is construction next door on week days, so if you come for a whole week, earplugs may be needed if you like to sleep in. Otherwise there wasn't much noise from the street.
Shakti and her assistant were both very responsive and booking with Shakti was a breeze.
Staying at Shakti's was easy and convenient. The check-in was efficient. Shakti was prompt in answering questions. Shakti had given my husband and I a discount being that we asked, it was January and someone had just canceled. Nonetheless, she didn't say anything about the construction going on and that was disappointing to us. It was loud in the morning and there were workers outside the windows. Though I absolutely loved the location, just crazy about The Village, in this circumstance of the construction I would have preferred to stay somewhere else.
We stayed at Shakti's beautiful Greenwich Village apartment for 4 weeks over Christmas and New Year.
The location is absolutely unbeatable. We bought an unlimited subway pass, and didn't catch a taxi the whole month. We walked and caught the subway everywhere - even to Central Park and Times Square! We had plenty of time to walk and explore the city though, it is a fairly long but lovely walk. There are stores, laundries, bars and live music venues within a couple of minutes walk. The subway station is so close. There is construction next door though which woke us up at 7am every weekday and 8am Saturdays. If you are planning to have late nights in bars and sleep in in the mornings you will need heavy duty earplugs - it is really loud. It's the only downside, but it's unavoidable!
The apartment is a really good size, cosy and nicely furnished. It could do with a couple of minor extra amenities, like a kettle, a few more teaspoons and a bigger frypan if you want to cook. It was so homely - we absolutely loved staying there. We didn't get to meet Shakti but all our electronic exchanges were good, and her assistant Trinity was helpful.
We would love to stay here again! Thanks for sharing your apartment with us, Shakti.
Great place in a great location. Shakti was very easy to communicate with about details, and despite being overseas, she checked in to make sure things were good. Her assistant giving me the key was also prompt and efficient.
Overall, a very good experience.
This apartment is in a fab location. Sullivan bistro, one block away, does a great breakfast and bleaker street is packed with good pubs and nice eateries. Very good value apartment. Shakti had no problem with a flexible check out because we'd a late flight. All round great trip.
