We had a wonderful stay and really appreciated all advise from the hosts of where to eat and what to see in the area. The kids loved the animals and the pool. The seclusion of the hills was amazing. Perfect for getting away!

Pierro was a wonderful host! From the moment we arrived we were whisked away to a local gathering of musicians where we sampled incredible local food, wine and dancing all underneath the cathedral rocks (lovely rock formation in the hills nearby). It was really magical. Pierro from start to finish was very kind. And it was ace to meet the dogs (Nero and Socractes), cats, horse, donkeys, ducks .... ! We tok a boat to the Isalnd of Ponza dor the day, I would thoroughly recommend a visit, and the town nearby of Spergonda xx

Fantastic, remote hideaway, perfect for just getting away from it all. The 20 minute drive up the mountain took some getting used to but meant that whilst at La Ripa we were guaranteed peace and quiet. The house was plenty big enough for one adult and two older teenage boys. Most windows had insect screens fitted so the windows could remain open. The pool was just right and we spent some evenings sitting outside playing cards - away from electronic gadgets and TV! Irene was great at communicating before we arrived and gave us details of places to visit en route from Rome. Her father, Piero, was very welcoming and spoke good English/French. He and his wife were around if needed but never encroached on our privacy. We were free to explore their land and pet the many animals. The three kittens were very cute! It's a 2½ hour drive to Vesuvius and Pompei/Herculaneum but worth it. Don't try to do both in a day! More locally, visit Sperlonga for a typical seaside resort. The Conad, Coop and Lidl are all easily accessible supermarkets. Remember to get mosquito repellent as mountains = bites! All in all, we had a fantastic stay at La Ripa and would highly recommend it to others.

We stayed for 4 nights in this wonderful place which is up in the hills above Terracina. There were fantastic views and it was very restful. It was very hot while we were there and we appreciated the small pool. We went one night to the restaurant in the nearby hamlet and had an amazing meal of local dishes. Our hosts were brilliant, lending us maps and providing information about the area and places to visit. It was really lovely to spend time at La Ripa and meet Pieter and his family . Just make sure you have good insect repellant if you're prone to bites!

We had the pleasure of staying at La Ripa for 4 nights in April 2016. This is a beautiful, rustic house located on a picturesque hillside in Campo Soriano. Surrounded by olive trees, vineyards and amazing rock formations, the location oozes with natural tranquility. The house has been built with love, creativity and traditional, Italian hard work. The apartment we stayed in is spacious and cozy with room for six. The two of us had more than enough space to enjoy! Our booking correspondence was made through Irene, the daughter of our host Piero. From the moment we arrived, Piero made us feel very welcome and was ready to assist us with whatever needs or questions we may have had. In so many kind ways, he exceeded our expectations in making our stay pleasant and relaxing. Piero is also very knowledgeable about the local geology and we appreciated the interesting conversations we had with him about the area. He provided us with maps and books to help us discover what the surrounding locale had to offer. We also went on a jaunt with him to see the nearby Fossanova Monastery which was very beautiful. His farm animals were cute to observe and we had two faithful and friendly 'tag-alongs' when ever we went for a walk - Nerone and Socrates- his two beautiful dogs. The bed was comfortable - soft and snugglicious. The wifi was good and the home's interior decor lent itself to the rustic character of the location. We stayed in the 'cooler, off season' so the pool wasn't functioning yet, and Piero was in the process of getting the gardens and animal pens ready for summer. We felt totally safe there and enjoyed the peace and serenity of nature in the Italian Spring season. We fully enjoyed our stay at Piero's house and would definitely recommend his lovely apartment for anyone wishing to vacation in the Terracina, Campo Soriano, and Sonnino area. Well done dear friend! Much respect!
