About This Listing
Flat situated in the historical zone in downtown La Spezia. The habour is 100mt. far from the house. The house is equipped with wi-fi access, tv, there's also a computer zone. 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom a kitchen space where you'll be able to cook your own meals and the roof, where you'll find couple chairs and a beach umbrella!
The flat is right next to the owners house that are gonna be available whenever you want.
The neighbourhood is the only one in the city without cars access and is really easy to walk around and reach the harbour and the train station. There's also a bus stop 3 mins walking (where the closest street is) that takes you to Lerici or Portovenere for couple euros.
The train ride to the 5 terre is between 10-20 minutes.
All around the apartment there are plenty of pizza places , restaurants, bar.. without having to cross any street!
I suppose my apartment is unique for the chance to walk everywhere around in a pedestrian zone, and for having a pretty big chill spot as the roof, that is as big as the apartment, and is pretty much reached by the sun all day long.
Appartement bien situé. Terrasse spacieuse et bien ensoleillée. Accueil chaleureux par Leopoldo qui nous a fourni des informations sur les commerces de proximité et des informations touristiques sur les Cinqueterre et les environs. Appartement propre. Le coin cuisine mériterait quelques accessoires supplémentaires.
We enjoyed our 2 days stay here. The parents of the host gave us a warm welcome and introduced in details how to use the local facilities. The house is just 100m next to the sea, so it's very convenient for us to take a swim. The terrace was lovely too. It was such a pleasure drinking and smoking in the late night sea breeze.
Leopoldo's father came downstairs for us after we rang the bell. He is a very nice person. He helped us take luggage upstairs to the apartment and gave us a detailed introduction to the neighborhood and the train timetable to Cinque Terre.
The apartment was spacious and it looked exactly the same as the photos. It is just 10 mins walk to the train station.
We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment.
Leopoldo's apartment is in outstanding area of La Spezia right in the heart of all town activities. We did not meet Leopoldo in person, but his father kindly greeted us and provided recommendations for the area.
When we arrived (Sunday afternoon) the boiler was broken, but it was fixed first thing in the morning on Monday.
The apartment is nice overall - clean and has most amenities you may need. It has a tiny fridge and cooker - suitable for short-term stays, was perfect for us.
My favorite part about this top-floor apartment is the rooftop terrace where we had several meals. The terrace has splendid views over red-brick roofs of other cute houses of La Spezia and is lit with sunlight throughout the day.
Great place! Super convenient and had everything we needed. A great location in the city, and easy to get to the train station and around the area. Great hosts!
Overall, it was a great stay! Communication prior arrival was smooth and clear instructions were given. The house was clean, spacious and had all the facilities we needed for a 4 day stay. Some snacks were provided too, which was very nice of Leopoldo. As for the kitchen, there weren't much space for food preparation but it was manageable for simple meals. Essentials like olive oil, salt/pepper etc were available. However, there was no computer (as listed) but wifi worked well.
As for the location, it is a 20 min stroll to the central station but it's is close to restaurants, shops and supermarket etc, which is personally more preferable than being close to the station (where there isn't much)
Leopoldo was also very helpful and approachable the whole stay. Thank you!

About the Host, Leopoldo
Hi, I'm an italian guy who love to see new places and discover the world.
I've been in lots of places for my young age but I still haven't seen the far east and the Oceania continent, which is where I'll head soon.
I enjoy traveling mostly during summer so I don't have to bring lots of stuff and I don't have to worry about the weather.
Everytime I speak to somebody on my trips I try to speak the local language and I'm always keen to understand something new, a language too.
A small and fancy restaurant. Really good seafood.Via Felice Cavallotti Liguria
