About This Listing
Flat situated in the historical zone in downtown La Spezia. The habour is 100mt. far from the house. The house is equipped with wi-fi access, tv, there's also a computer zone. 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom a kitchen space where you'll be able to cook your own meals and the roof, where you'll find couple chairs and a beach umbrella!
The flat is right next to the owners house that are gonna be available whenever you want.
The neighbourhood is the only one in the city without cars access and is really easy to walk around and reach the harbour and the train station. There's also a bus stop 3 mins walking (where the closest street is) that takes you to Lerici or Portovenere for couple euros.
The train ride to the 5 terre is between 10-20 minutes.
All around the apartment there are plenty of pizza places , restaurants, bar.. without having to cross any street!
I suppose my apartment is unique for the chance to walk everywhere around in a pedestrian zone, and for having a pretty big chill spot as the roof, that is as big as the apartment, and is pretty much reached by the sun all day long.
We had a great stay with Leopoldo. We stayed in La Spezia to hike Cinque Terre and found the trains very easy to navigate. Leopoldo was flexible with the check in time and gave us a very good introduction to the area, local markets, boat tours for cinque Terre and laundromats. He had a lot of information in the suite about the hike and area. There is a private door to the suite and we did not see or hear from Leopoldo for the rest of the trip. Although he was available for questions, he also gave us privacy. We cooked in the suite and found all that we required for simple dishes. We had a great time and would highly recommend it!
The apartment is very well located in La Spezia, 15 minutes from the train, 5-10 minutes from the water and surrounded by nice restaurants and shops. Paolo greeted us when we arrived and gave us lots of information about the area with some great suggestions of things to do and places to eat. The apartment was bright, comfortable and had everything we needed. The only complaint is that there were a few mosquitos buzzing around the apartment at night, but I suppose that is normal for the time of year.
A perfect place to explore Cinque Terra and La Spezia. We arrived by train and the apartment was within a 10 minute walking distance, very easy to find. Although it's located in the centre of downtown, the apartment is very quiet because it's on a pedestrian only street. Nice grocery store just a few minutes away and tons of restaurants nearby.
Leopoldo wasn't in the country but his mom and dad were there for a convenient check-in and to answer any questions. Apartment came with maps of the town and surrounding areas and some recommendations. Fast internet, bright and cheery apartment, beautiful rooftop views and everything we needed. Thank you very much!
Leopoldo's father, who welcomed us into this apartment which is actually adjacent to his own, was very nice and patient. He took the time to explain to us all the itineraries around la Spezia and Cinque Terre, and recommanded the wonderful pizzeria La Pia a minute away from the apartment - best pizza ever (and I know pizza).
The apartment has everything you will need for a few days' stay, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is spacious and the (shared) rooftop terrace makes for a nice afternoon spot with a view of the neighboorhood roofs and the Alps!
A great stay in La Spezia, thank you!
PS: should be noted that the apartment is on the 4th floor without elevator

About the Host, Leopoldo
Hi, I'm an italian guy who love to see new places and discover the world.
I've been in lots of places for my young age but I still haven't seen the far east and the Oceania continent, which is where I'll head soon.
I enjoy traveling mostly during summer so I don't have to bring lots of stuff and I don't have to worry about the weather.
Everytime I speak to somebody on my trips I try to speak the local language and I'm always keen to understand something new, a language too.
A small and fancy restaurant. Really good seafood.Via Felice Cavallotti Liguria
