The Space

This is a charming seaside cottage in the historic precinct of Williamstown and very close to all williamstown has to offer.

Close to restaurants, bars, shopping, cycle paths and the beach, the house offers a private double bedroom and a large. shared bathroom.

It's a very cute and extremely comfortable house with both heating and air conditioning. You will have a quiet and private bedroom with a double bed and tv in your room.

Internet access is also included in the price. The swimming beach is within an easy walk as are bars, restaurants and many kms of walking and cycling paths. The city of Melbourne is easily accessible by public transport or by ferry.

Included with your stay are breakfast supplies.

My name is Benita and I work as a secondary school teacher and in the field of professional development for teachers. I am active and enjoy cycling, swimming and sailing in particular.

I love travelling, and have had a wonderful trip cycling around Italy . I love chatting to people who love to travel too and who enjoy sharing their stories.

Guest Access

Free parking, a quiet bedroom and private bathroom, as well as very easy access to all that williamstown has to offer.

The Neighborhood

The neighbourhood is quiet and very picturesque. There are views of the sea from the front garden and many paths along the water front from which to enjoy the water, sea and bird life. There are many cafes and restaurants within an easy walking distance and a supermarket, butcher, green grocer along with a variety of shops to also keep you busy.

Getting around

The bus can be caught at the top of my street and travels into the CBD. Alternatively, the train is only a ten minute walk away and that too, will take you into the city.

  • Benita was a great host, it was a perfect place to stay , close to the city, close to the beach. The room was perfect and as described. We felt very comfortable at Benita's and would love to stay again.

  • The location was terrific and the cottage was very comfortable. Really lovely bathroom!

  • My friend and I had a great time staying at Benita's. The place is as what the pictures depicts it to be. With the park on the beach only down the road from the place, it was really refreshing. The bathroom was really clean too! It was an interesting experience having the house to ourselves most of the time since Benita was busy especially with her daughter's oncoming wedding. Basically, we met Benita just once during our 3 nights stay there. The only downside of it all was that the wifi was down. I do hope that the problem has been fixed though. Thank you Benita for letting us in your beautiful home. We do apologise for coming in late at night in the beginning. Before I forget, the floors can be a bit creaky and thus we tiptoed at night so as not to awake Benita. Overall, we love this place. Will definitely be coming back to stay here again. Thank you Benita and congratulations once again! (=

  • Benita's place is really awesome. It is nestled in a quiet neighborhood and there are plenty of shops, restaurants and coffeehouses in walking distance. We had great pleasure exploring the small suburb. However, we were quite disappointed as the wireless internet was down during the period we stayed (May 22 - May 29, 2014). If having wireless internet is one of the criteria you are looking for in airbnb stays, i would recommend you to drop her a message regarding this matter.

  • Benita's place was just perfect for our stay. She was most accomodating and last minute changes meant we needed to find an extra bed. The room was clean, neat and very comfortable and the breakfast supplies were an added bonus. Everything was just as you see it online. There is a good variety of restaurants within walking distance and some very tempting boutique stores as well. Parking wasn't an issue either. Would easily come back and stay again.

  • We spent few days at Benita's house, it's exactly as in description and other reviews, 15 minutes by walk from train station, 5 minutes from bay shore in nice, old, neighborhood. No problem with parking on the street.
Only minus that it was bit cold in the room - but we are not used to Melbourne's climate ;)

  • Both my partner and myself stayed at Benita's beautiful cottage for 4 nights while we were in the process of moving. We absolutely loved it! it was in the perfect location being so close to all the resturants and cafes that williamstown has to offer along with the beach. She was very lovely and accommodating to us and we would highly recommend her place to anyone that were travelling! :)

  • Benita's house was lovely, looking exactly like the pictures. Our bedroom was spacious with our own fridge & kettle and we were even provided with bread, butter, tea bags etc for breakfast. We had a bathroom to ourselves, once again very spacious and clean with a very nice shower.

It is just a short walk to Williamstown centre and right next to the seaside. To get in the city it is about a 15-20 minute walk to the station with regular trains taking about 20 minutes straight to Flinders Street. I'd highly recommend staying here if you're after somewhere peaceful and quiet with relatively easy acces to the city.

Benita was a lovely host, although we only saw her a few times as she was working, she was always very friendly and helpful.

  • Great house in a beautiful area! Very nice place in Melbourne!

  • Benita was a great host- everything was prepared when we arrived! We had our private fridge in the room which was filled with cereals, fruits, milk and water.
(North) Williamstown is a very nice suburb, there are Cafés, Restaurants and Shops and the Supermarket is about 5 minutes to walk. By Metro you can reach Melbourne in 20-25 minutes.
