  • We truly loved our stay at the Rome Loft. It was cozy and eccentric. The location was within two minute walk to the Colosseum and transit. Eduardo was a pleasure to communicate with, very friendly and accommodating. There as a thorough tour of the apartment and how it works as well as a wonderful suggestions on where to visit and where to eat. We felt very much at home and would return to stay again.

  • A wonderful lodging, very close to the Colosseum and the Forum Romanum. All the main sights can be reached on foot within one hour. Melanie and Edoardo are very nice and react immediately. My son and I had a great time at the apartment.

  • My husband and I just stayed at this loft for 10 nights for our honeymoon. It was the perfect size for us to stay in since we were there to tour the city. The Colosseum & Holy Steps is a short distance away with a lot of great food in the area. Royal Cafe and Hostaria Isidoro were both amazing food and we didn't want to stop eating! We tried to heat up some left overs from the restaurant, but the kitchen isnt very big with a few pans...but we realized, WE'RE ON VACATION! Stop bringing home left overs! There is no need what so ever to cook with so much amazing food around us. I honestly don't recommend any of the pizzerias on the same street, we tried two just because we were starving and wanted something quick...not worth it. The Colloseo blue line wasn't a far walk. We walked almost everywhere, except the Vatican, we took the metro. There is a market right outside the door and Aba is really nice, he knows some English. There is also a nice little cafe up the street (away form the Colosseo toward the Holy Steps) that had really good espresso and baked goods, they also knew a little English to get by, but after going in every morning they knew us and our Italian was getting better to order food and caffe. We had a taxi ride from Melanie & Edoardo's company they use. We weren't sure where to meet him. Once we exit our plane, went through passport check, picked up our luggage, and he was outside of the first exit with my name on a sign. The taxi driver doesn't know any English, so we wrote down our return flight information and the time we wanted him to pick us up. He was early picking us up, was very nice, and professional. It was also 50eur cheaper and he knew exactly where to go. I highly recommend using him! Some work arounds: The ceilings are short, my husband is 5'11 and he hit his head a few times, luckily he has a hard head, just remember to duck! I'm 5'3 and didn't have an issue. The bathroom is small with a small shower but wasn't that bad of an issue. The water will get onto the floors, so make sure to put a towel down to soak it up. We thought we had an issue with the water heater and I contacted Melanie, who responded right away, and had Edoardo come check it out. I think we were just taking too long of showers, haha. As an American, I'm used to having a lot of space and big long hot showers. There was an A/C unit in the top floor that connects to the window. The sound if it would tune out the cars that would drive by at night. We were able to adjust it with a remote control, the loft will heat up pretty quick without...

  • This appartment is just incredible and unique!! It was part of the exceptionnal places we discovered in Rome, like a museum. It's also very comfortable with all commodities. The situation of this appartment is amazing : you see the coloseum directly from the street, it's just at 5 minutes! You can find exceptionnal restaurants and cafe around it. We strongly recommend this place and thank Mélanie and Eduardo for everything.

  • Great apartment and perfect sourrounding - it was a pleasure to stay at Edoardo & Melanie's place. I can highly recommend to stay there for a weekend trip. Everything worked perfectly smooth and fine! Great communication with the hosts!

For people that are very tall (1,90+) it might be a little bit too small, since the walls are quite narrow. For everybody else I think there is no better place to stay!

  • You will not find more central accommodation to the colloseum! It is literally five minutes down the road. As you walk out of the apartment, you see the first century heritage site... Amazing! I truly enjoyed my stay here and definitely recommend it to other guests. My partner and I were picked up Melanie's private taxi, which was such a welcomed offer arriving in Roma, the guy had our name in a piece of paper, took our luggage and got us to the loft safe and sound for only 48€. We were the met by Ariana, Melanie's sister in law to welcome us to the loft. She was outstanding, perfect English and extremely helpful, she recommended her favorite pasta place and many other tips. The loft is somewhat small, and my fiancé is 6ft so he struggled with the low ceilings. Also, we couldn't get the washing machine working so some simple instructions might have been nice. All in all the place and hospitality was excellent. Ariana even had water in the fridge and panettone (cake) for us! If you stay here, I highly recommend eating at Luzziabout two mins walk... Best Italian good we had in Rome and also consider the height of the ceilings, which might be an issue if you're really tall. Thank you so much Ariana and Melanie!

  • The loft was as we expected: nice, clean and well communicated with the most interesting touristic points. Melanie and Edoardo were thoughtful even before our departure and their guide about Rome and the neighborhood was very complete and useful.

We recommend it for anybody who wants to know the city and have a charm place to rest at the end of the day.
