We can only recommend this loft. We could easily find the apartment and everything was exactly as described on AirBnb. A bottle of wine and flowers made us feel at home. We felt save at all times.
The neighbourhood is great: close to the city centre, some nice bars and restaurants within a 5-min. walk.
The apartment was wonderful! The pictures do not do it justice. The area was very spacious and is in a perfect location to bars/restaurants, such as Bierhaus+Weingarten, La Parada, and Clarke's. There is even a bagel shop on the ground floor, which is perfect for breakfast. The wine was also a great welcome gift! Wifi was consistent bonus but a bit slow at times when all of us were trying to use it. Would definitely come back.
Great location, great place. The bottle of wine and fresh flowers was a nice touch after a long trip and made us feel at home. Nazley was available and accommodating throughout our stay.
Neighbours in building were friendly and 24 security made us feel safe at all times.
Full kitchen and washer and dryer were great for us as we were travelling with a 6 month old as well as the provided crib.
Wi-Fi was great to keep up with everyone at home.
Neighbourhood was awesome with some great little cafe's (You have to go to Bean There for a Flat White!). Walking distance to Green Market Square, Gardens, Long (website hidden) Nelson Hotel and Kloof St. Quick drive to everywhere else.
Hopefully we will be able to return in the future.
A great location for a true Capetonian experience, with easy access to main tourist attractions. Great restaurants within a block from the spacious apartment.
Our stay in this loft was less than ideal and didn't match the photographs or description. The environment surrounding was poor: climbing 8 flights of stairs several times a day due to broken lift, uncollected stinking rubbish from the bin directly across the door and renovation work in the floor beneath the loft. We left a full day early and the host was gracious to give us a part refund. We would not recommend it for the price and what else is available in the area.
We certainly apologize that both of the lifts in the building were out of operation for repairs during Laura's stay making for an uncomfortable hike to the apartment. This is the first time that has happened in 10+ years in the building. Unfortunately this is out of our control and we offered a substantial refund.
Wonderful location, close to a lot of good restaurants. Nice appartment, big rooms, everything functioning well. A bottle of wine and a vase of flowers welcomed us. Easy and friendly communication about delivery of keys, cleaning etc.
We spent 2 weeks in Bree Street Loft and will most likely stay there again when we return
This was our first time using airbnb and we're very glad we chose the Bree Street Loft. It was perfect for our family of 5 and in a very central (and safe) location. It is walking distance to lots of attractions. The person who manages the property - Nazley - is very helpful and organised a shuttle from the airport for us. She even came in on her day off to help us with the safe. Having access to a secure carpark was also a bonus. We would stay here again next time we visit. Unlike other visitors we had no issue with the hot water but do agree the smaller bedroom does get a little stuffy in summer and a fan would be helpful
