We had a wonderful time in this delightful family home - for us the connections back to this artist's house are very special. It is so relaxing - spacious, full of light and resonates through its conversion from an Old Bakery a very special 1950's style and ambience created by ar…

We all know that mass produced disposable plastic items are being consumed and discarded at an unsustainable rate. The Old Bakery is an example of how things could be. The house is remarkable. The entrance hall has shelving with an array of art and craft objects. Minimal stair…

Response from Sue:
Thomas, thank you so much for your comments and observations. It really is lovely when someone visits the house and notices the small details, and appreciates the craftwork that has gone into it. I was interested to read about you too, about your love of wood, and your connection with Japan. There were more Japanese prints on the walls which have been a source of inspiration, but they have faded. I am hoping to go to Japan next year. I would be very happy for you to visit again, and spend more time in the house and the garden. Thank you for visiting, and for taking the time to write and communicate.

I had a lovely few days in Sue's place. The home has a really nice energy around it and I found it perfectly cosy. The orchard took me completely by surprise and I even took some midnight walks around it where the only thing you could hear were the birds and the trees. Plenty of …
