Flagstaff private home off the beaten path but in a peaceful neighborhood. Quiet, low key, come 'n go on an acre. I have two friendly dogs (Wanda and Lilli), and a cockatiel (Fred). We have streaming TV, internet computer (WIRELESS is available), and a patio to grill and chill. We have one medium, and large bedroom. Full kitchen, dining, and living rooms are also available for your stay. Make yourself at home. I provide a self-serve continental breakfast.
The guest room (10X14) is $65 and the master (14X15) with private bath is $75 per night (see separate listing). There is a stereo in the living room with Sirusw/XM radio and CD player, so if you wanna rock or just relax, go ahead! There is even room to dance!
We are in an area to see and do all kinds of things the year 'round. Music and entertainment venues are varied and very affordable. The Lowell Observatory, Grand Canyon, Sedona, Painted Desert, Petrified Forest, biking, trails, fishing, hunting, and skiing are just some of the fun to be had. And it is ALOT cooler than the rest of AZ.
Downtown shopping is about 8 to 10 miles away. Local taverns, shopping mall, and the closest restaurant are within 5 miles. There is a hiking trail up the mountain about a 1/4 mile at the end of our road.
Pets are welcome with pre-approval. I do not let my dogs have the run of the house and they are outside most of the time; if necessary they can stay in the garage. My pups do not get along with cats so, they will have to remain with you or stay inside. You are welcome to prepare your own meals, please clean up afterward. I usually do not wear shoes in the house unless I am in and out. So long as your shoes are clean, it's OK. The living room and patio are good places to hang out and have a glass of wine or grill up some wings. You are free to use the house and always, have fun and come again!
David is a really cool guy who I came to like instantly. His home is very clean and my room was amazing with its own bathroom. I was told to feel at home and it was very easy.
I was so lucky to hold David's falk. A very beautiful bird.
I used David's home as a base to go see Grand Canyon.
Dear David,Thank you for making me feel so welcome in your beautiful and peaceful home,I really enjoyed staying here,as well as our fun conversations, your sweet dogs and wonderful hawk! Thanks again for your kindness and hospitality!Best Wishes,Holly
David was a great host. I've had an amazing time in Flagstaff. The room was absolutely awesome, clean and cozy. I used airbnb a lot so far, but this room was just the best.
I also really appreciated to talk with David. He likes to talk with you and can give you useful information about the area you live.
Summa summarum: A perfect stay with a perfect host!

We stopped off in Flagstaff on our way to the Grand Canyon. Dave wasn't in when we arrived but had given us an amazing bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and foam mattress. Fortunately we caught up with Dave in the morning - what a laid back, interesting and friendly guy. Fresh coffee and feeding his pet hawk Coca some mice for breakfast, deffinately one of the more memorable mornings in Arizona!! Would recommend staying here to anyone, great place, great guy!
David was an awesome host. This was my first Airbnb experience, so I was a little nervous at first. It couldn't have been a better experience. He suggested places to eat locally (Horseman Loged) and in Sedona, AZ (Wild Flower Bread Co.) and both were excellent. We had a dog with us and he got to run around like a mad man on the property. David offered us meals throughout the 2 day stay, but we just had delicious coffee, because we don't eat early on the morning. We went to the Grand Canyon our first day there and got to play with his hawk on the 2nd day. It was the hightlight of the trip for me. I will definitely stay with David again. Thank you, David for a wonderful weekend!
David was welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. I was looking for something laid back with privacy, and outside of town with access to trails...I got both! David offered anything I may need, but also let me keep to myself. The room and bathroom were very comfortable, clean and nice, with enough space for two people (though I was by myself). The drive to town was an easy straight-shot and I found trails very near his home. I would definitely stay with David again if I came back through town!

Hi, I'm David. I am 60 years old and I have lived in Flagstaff for about 16 years. I am originally from New England. My pups keep me company and look after things when I am at work as an environmental consultant of over 20 years. The sunshine is uplifting and the monsoon season is a great time to rejuvenate; besides the winters are fairly mild. I enjoy the outdoors and find that Flagstaff is a good location to "get there from here". If you are planning to stay awhile or just passing through, we would love to share our humble home with you.
