Lower East Side apartment!

Apartment - Private room · Grand St, New York, NY 10002, United States

The Space

A great place for students, backpackers, young couples! Come stay with me in the historic Lower East Side of Manhattan. Right under the Williamsburg bridge, the neighborhood is a great mix of the Jewish, Hispanic, and Chinese communities. We're a five minute walk to either Chinatown, the East Village, Williamsburg Brooklyn, and close to subways for quick access to the rest of Manhattan! The apartment itself is a loft above a 24-hour deli in a very safe area, and the F, D and B trains are a short walk away. New to New York? I love showing my guests around the city and getting them oriented. Full bed sleeps two, and I also have a futon in the living room for a third (no extra charge for a third person!).

  • It was my first time using airbnb and the experience was great!
My friend and I stayed at Robert's house for 2 nights. We got to have a breakfast with him and had a great time talking with him. He was a great host! The location was great; the bus stop was right across the street from the apartment. I highly recommend Robert's place.

  • Rob is an amazing human. We had read this already in previous reviews, but that still didn't quite prepare my boyfriend and myself for our host. It was our first airbnb experience and it was as incredible as the city itself. We had breakfast with Rob every day; he took us on a beautiful run through downtown Manhattan and into Brooklyn; he gave us the low down on amazing discounted tickets for Avenue Q (TKTS is not the cheapest place there is!); and the Dominican restaurant next door to his apartment is one of the most delicious and best value meals around.

Location is very good, about 10 minutes' walk from the subway station and subway lines run everywhere. The area is really cool, although we didn't explore it too much. It's about 15 minutes away from Katz Deli and there's tons of really nice restaurants and bars there. The apartment itself is really easy to find, clean and we slept like babies. It was really nice to have a kitchen and enjoy breakfast before heading out for a packed day and night.

Can't fault our experience with Rob at all. An amazing host, a kind and generous person, and an excellent ambassador to his city!

  • Our trip was amasing but it's also thanks to Robert and his flat ! his accomodation is situed in a good place, close to the Brooklyn bridge and Chinatown, to 10min path from the subway. There isn't noise outside, we really slept like babies ! and Robert is a very very fine host. we was like in our house !

  • Robert is a great host !
We had the pleasure to be welcomed by him and to meet him. He made us feel at ease from the first minute.
The apartment is ideal concerning the size, location, room, and Robert's breakfasts. We would go there again without any hesitation ! We had a wonderfull journey.

Once again, thank you very much Robert !

  • I had a wonderful stay at Robert's place!! It was clean, the room was exactly as described in the ad, and the apartment was in a really great location. Rob was amazing as a host - he took care of everything perfectly and was very accommodating with all of my requests. You can tell that he actually enjoys interacting with his guests and puts a lot of effort into making sure they have an enjoyable stay. I would highly recommend staying with him!!! Thank you Rob!

  • Rob was a great host and the room was very nice. It's very close to the Tenement museum and the great Katz deli (best pastrami in the world!). I'll definitely recommend all my friends to look up Rob's airbnb listing if they're ever headed to NYC.

  • Being the first time we used airbnb, my sister and I were worried sleeping at a stranger's house would not be a good idea. Far from! Rob is the loveliest host we could have asked for, we made ourselves at home right away and Rob made sure we felt at home too. The apartment is cosy and a short distance from a subway stop. We stayed for a whole week and the apartment was a great place to go back to after a hectic day of walking around. I truly loved the experience and will definitely use airbnb again and will for sure contact Rob again next time im in the city. I would not hesitate one second to recommend Rob's place to any of my friends and family, that's how happy we were :)

  • Although I never met Robert, he communicated all the logistics well the flat was clean and inviting. I would recommend working with him to anyone.
