Great location! Update unit. Easy walk to Shands and up to UF campus. Easy parking and great communication from Susannah! Thanks
Thanks so much, Nate- it was a pleasure having you at the condo and was so glad you got to enjoy the weekend in Gainesville. Thanks so much for complimenting the updated unit- we try to make them as comfortable and cozy as possible:-) Thanks and hope you can come back to Gainesville again in the future.
The place is very cute and clean, updated (despite the look of the exterior of the building) comfortable and well stocked. I could stay here for a long time! Great sofa and overall homey feeling. Comfy bed and nice linens. Host is great, plenty of information and very much in contact.
I will stay here again as I visit my daughter at UF!
Thanks so much, Amy! I'll look forward to hosting you again the next time you're in town:-)! Yes, the 70's style architecture makes me chuckle (overhang roof- gotta love it), but thank you for recognizing all of the work I put into renovating and decorating the apartment:-) All of the art on the walls is my nature photography and I make the insides as "homey" and comfortable as possible so it will be much better than a hotel.
Susannah was great! She was more than willing to make sure things went well and didn't hesitate, to offer to come over to the apartment when I had an issue (minor) with the laundry card. The apartment was great and had everything I needed for my stay.
Thank you so much for being such a great guest, Amanda! I'm always on call and want my guests to be as comfortable and happy as possible- thanks so much for the compliment! I'm so glad you also enjoyed the nature book and the decorations- nature is my passion so I love to share all of the nature sites in Gainesville with my guests. I hope you will return again in the future!
As a fellow airbnb host I was very nervous to book as a guest because I know how much work is put into making a place ideal for someone you have never met and you wonder if other hosts care the same. I honestly have to say that staying at Susannah's was a 5 star experience and I could learn a couple of things from her!!!!!! Besides the place being impeccably clean; she is very detail oriented, the kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, spices, coffee, sugar.... we had fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, blowdryer among others. The property had wifi, a nice television and the decoration, which is her beautiful artwork as a photographer made the place feel happy!
Claudia- thanks so much for noticing all of the details! Very very much appreciated, because as you said, it's a lot of work to keep up short-term rentals so I do everything I can to make them as comfortable and convenient as possible:-) If you ever come back to Gainesville, please let me know so I can host you again. Thank you for being a great guest and best of luck with your future hosting as well!
Susannah and her space were wonderful! She was very quick to respond to our text messages, provided details of the location ahead o f time and even exterior pictures, and a lovely info booklet about using services in the complex where we were located.
The apartment was great- a big improvement over a hotel. My husband and I sometime have "sleeping issues" and need a different place to sleep during the night. Having a Living room with a long comfortable couch made us feel at home.
We will definitely be rebooking with Susannah, since our son remains in Gainesville.
I have been going to Gainesville for quite a few years now and this is the first time i stayed in an apt. like this instead of a hotel. I have to say that it is so much more relaxing and enjoyable to stay in one of Susannah's apartments. She is in constant contact by email just in case you need something or have a question regarding the apt. or the area. The apt is very clean and the furniture is very comfy. parking is adequate and the neighborhood seems very safe and close to everything in town. This was an all around great experience, i love AirBnB!

About the Host, Susannah
I am a nature photographer, super happy hostess to out-of-town guests, dress designer (Strawberry Blonde Clothing) mother, etc... and I love to help people get to know Gainesville and all it has to offer. I regularly write photo articles for HOME Magazine (in which you can find great things to do in Gainesville). I take very good care of my guests by making recommendations for restaurants, things to do, etc... I have been a landlord for quite a few years, and have many repeat customers and referrals. My photography company is called SP Fine Prints, which you can find if you use a search engine. I look forward to hearing from you.
