Very cool, eclectic and personal, lateral loft space taking up the first floor of an industrial turn of the 20th century workshop in Shoreditch / Hoxton, three minutes walk to Hoxton Square, five minutes walk to Old Street underground station (Northern Line) and twelve minutes to Liverpool Street main line and underground. There is a Barclays bike stand 50m from the building. Within three minutes walk are fantastic bars and restaurants.
The markets, bar and restaurants at Columbia Road, Brick Lane, Spitalfields and Broadway Market are all a short distance away. All of the Olympic sites and the West End / Oxford Street are accessible from the excellent local connections (20 minute bus journey / 15 in a cab to Oxford Street).
The flat is essentially one large room, with a three quarter height kitchen divider separating the living space from the bedroom, and from the bedroom, a door leading to a separate bathroom with bath and shower. The space has enormous windows on three sides – fitted with blackout roller blinds for when needed.
It is fully furnished with design originals including a super comfy sofa and a dining table that seats eight easily. The main space has freeview / DVD / blu-ray / full hifi and an HD projector which accepts inputs from most laptops and very fast wifi. The large loading doors at the end of the space can be opened to let the outside in. There is also an informal space on the New York style fire escape leading up to the entrance where one can take the sun and have a coffee on a nice day. Great mood lighting.
Kitchen equipped with a gas hob, an electric oven, a dishwasher and fully stocked with cooking utensils and crockery. Central heating keeps the space toasty in winter despite the large crittal windows.
There is a laundry area with a washer / dryer and an old fashioned clothes airer over the bath. The bathroom is functional and spotlessly clean.
Towels and bed linen all white and of the best quality (400 thread frette sheets) and the bed has a king size (150cm) tempur mattress.
At additional cost, I can arrange a sofa bed / double futon so the space can accommodate 3-4 people in total. Smokers may be accommodated, but please let me know in advance when you book if you will be smoking in the flat.
There is a fantastic coffee shop 15 metres away, perfect for breakfast and a late opening dry cleaners two shops down from that. The nearest pub is just at the back of the building (but we don’t hear the noise) and they serve excellent pizza until late. There is also a late opening Tesco mini supermarket at the other end of the road and an organic grocery four minutes walk in the other direction. I’ve lived in the area for fifteen years and happy to suggest bars, restaurants, art events, parties etc. depending on what you are looking for.
The space has neighbours above and below so loud music and parties after midnight are not generally welcome please and would need to be discussed before booking.
Rafa is a very nice and friendly person.
Really cool place ! Rafa is a good host. the neighberhood is nice. Close to the metro. Close to shops and almost close to everything you need.
The appartment is full of surprise ! Nice moment there !
Rafa's bohemian loft was as groovy as the pictures made it out to be! The bed was ultra comfy, plenty of living space and Rafa himself was very polite and helpful. There was also a heap of magazines and random other art and material to keep you entertained if you so happen to be lazing about in the apartment - even a drop down projector screen for TV and movies!
Rafa's place is just so cool. The most eclectic and unique styling you will ever find. You really feel like you are living the cool - Hoxton - experience. Rafa is very friendly and really has thought of everything. I couldn't recommend the Loft any more highly
Fantastic place to stay in London. Loved Rafa's quirky and spacious flat.
Rafa's place was amazing and so warm and comfy.. I couldn't rate it highly enough
Richard and Jane from Durham
Amazing flat, one of the coolest places have stayed. Raga was super helpful and friendly.
Peaceful and in the center of the world !
Was in London and had some hectic work days - so it was pure joy to get home to this wonderful place, quite and beautiful, and one street from my some of my favortite places in town
The apartment is amazing, well decorated, well situated, warm, luminous, clean and the sound system is great! Rafa is a really nice landlord and he is available for any information. I will definitely rent this flat again for my next business trip to London.
The location of this apartment is absolutely perfect. Just around the corner you have a whole world of bars and restaurants, a lovely park and the train station is just a few blocks away as well. The apartment is large and spacious, with eclectic decor and a comfy king-sized bed. Make sure to bring your own toilet paper, paper towels and soap for the shower as these items were not provided. However, the heat works very well to keep the place nice and cozy when it's cold outside. We enjoyed our stay in London and were happy to be in such a great location in Shoreditch.
Thanks Kristi! Actually, I do generally try to ensure that at least there is a stock loo roll in the fla but as I was travelling I guess it ran low. Sorry for that!
The great thing is there is a 24 hour shop two minutes walk away. I hope it wasn't too much of an inconvenience.
Also, generally in the bathroom there is a large vase with a load of miniature shower gels and shampoos I seem to purloin as much for myself as for guests from whenever I stay in w hotels etc. but yes, conceivably the stock ran dry and most people tend to have their own products that they prefer anyway. Should expect at least a miniature shower gel though although not toothpaste / razors etc.
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
