Olof and Jon are truly exemplerary hosts. They gave me details on Reykjavik, their neighborhood and their place (including directions on how to get there) in advance, making my arrival easy. They're very kind and welcoming, and the room itself was clean and cozy.

The room is comfortable and warm, easy to prepare your breakfast. Host and their family just live upstairs, if you want to use their bathroom you need to press a button something like a door bell, before you go upstairs, they just allow you appear during 8:00~22:00, it's inconvenient for people wants to enjoy their late night live. There has no water and sink in the room, inconvenient for drinking water and wash something. Inconvenient for cooking, if you love to eat fresh food and cook by yourself. The floor access door between room and apartment is unable to lock. Toilet is at the other side of the building, must go through the long corridor to the end. Room is at the semi-basement, not too much fresh air circulation. And complicated experience about their attitude and behaviour. Host ask me where I am going to go tomorrow every time he meets me, how many days I will stay in Iceland, too many days he thinks I am unusual, l have no idea how he defined travel is, definitely different with me. He also ask which airport I arrive Europe, which airline I flight to Reykjavik, what my job is, when I wake up, when I start to work, what time to end the work is, when I go home, every detail about my personal routine life in my country. After that he ask me to show where I live in Taiwan, which city, where the location of high street is, where the shopping area is, where my home is, etc, on the (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps, btw I also show him where I was born, where is the beach at south, haha... I thought I was at the airport to face a custom or doing something wrong to face police. I am an Asian, doesn't mean I will do something illegal in Iceland.

Response from Olof And Jon:
Let us clarify some misunderstanding here. 1. Shower time between 8-22:00 is a guideline time. We are flexible with these timings. 2. All our guests have 3 refillable water bottles in the fridge in the room. Guests can easily refill their bottles. 3. Our guests can cook small meals in an small oven in the room as well as big meals in our kitchen if they wish for. 4. Regarding the questions, then we were just trying to show interest. We just asked about airport and flight if there would possibly be any delays and cancellations of your flight when you'd arrive first in Iceland. It was just practical for us to know. 5. And regarding the conversations we had, then we were just curious about your life in Taiwan. We think that staying at airbnb is also about learning different things about other people's life. Our sincere apologies if you were uncomfortable with talking to us. Kind regards Olof and Jon

My boyfriend and I stayed with Jon and Olof for 5 nights and it was great! Upon arrive we didn't know what to expect, plus our phones didn't work so we had no way of connacting them that we are there! Luckily we caught Jon and his son outside. Very sweet family, the small apartment was perfect. I was a little confused about the showers. I did not realize upon booking that we would have to go into Jon and Olof apt to use the shower. But if they were there, they were welcoming and if they weren't we were still able to use the showers. The kitchen amenities were perfect for us since we were gone all day and only ate breakfast and an after dinner snack. Over all Jon and Olof's place was great for a young couple who were on a budget, and didn't require much.
