About this listing
Bedroom with 2 loft beds in home with mom, dad, 3 girls, cat, and dog in working-class neighborhood on far eastside of Indianapolis, 10 miles from downtown.
One bedroom for rent in home with family with 3 children (2 loft beds). Access to entire home is included (full kitchen, large screen TV with a growing Bollywood film stash and Netflix). You would have your own bathroom (shower and bathtub) down the hall, and linens are provided. We also have a twin size air mattress that would fit in the room so that we could accommodate 3 people if needed.
You are welcome to join in family (vegetarian) meals. We have 1 adult bike that you may use during your stay. We have a computer with Internet access and wireless access.
We have a feisty indoor-outdoor cat, so beware, as well as a energetic French Bulldog/Boston Terrier mix. Children and pets are more than welcome here!
Home is about 15 minute walk to public bus stop and 10 miles from downtown Indianapolis. Cheap, fun option for people wanting to go to the myriad number of sporting events in the city (US Swimming Nationals, Pacers NBA games, Colts NFL games, Indy 500 or other car racing events, AAA team Indianapolis Indians, and others). Indianapolis has the biggest children's museum in the world, the Children's Museum of Indianapolis.
Our house was featured on WTHR Channel 13 in April 2013 as part of segment on "shared economy" and airbnb's role in that. Watch it at (website hidden).
Bathroom, street parking, PLAY OUR PIANO please! (we also have guitars, xylophone, accordions, harmonicas, IDK what else), TV, fridge (help yourself!) and stove
Interaction with Guests
We are normally around, love a little conversation, but try to not invade anyone's space. Sometimes the girls are with their other parent.
We live on a cul-de-sac so traffic is limited. If you have a car you can easily and safely park on the street in front of the house or in the very-inclined driveway. If you have a motorcycle, you can park it in my garage.
You'll have to have a vehicle here; the walk to the bus stop is about 15-20 minutes and it takes about an hour to get downtown from our house on public transportation.
We ask that you are quieter and/or use bottom floor of house (we have a tri-level) after 9 PM while children are sleeping.
No smoking in house or garage. We have an front and side porch where you can smoke outside.
