This house was an absolutely perfect little transition home as we got settled in Austin. We rented the house for a month and loved everything about it and the surrounding neighborhood. The layout is great, the decor gives the house an amazing sense of character, and the kitchen is equipped with all the basics you need as well. Greg was always easy to reach, even when he was traveling for a portion of our stay, and was really flexible when we needed to make several changes to our reservation as our circumstances evolved.
We loved the walkability factor of the location as well. It is easily accessible to cute restaurants down on Duval Street, more great restaurants and awesome vintage shopping up in North Loop, and a very short jaunt to Flight Path Coffee House, which became almost a second home since both of us work remotely (though the house also has great Wifi!)
Bottom line: I can't recommend the White House highly enough!
This is a great place to stay! Our family of four found everything we could need here... a fully stocked kitchen with full size appliances, plenty of towels, extra blankets, even sugar, salt and pepper. It is in the perfect location to feel like a bit of a local- close to downtown and South Congress. It is not in walking distance, but you could easily catch a bus, if necessary (we had our car). The neighborhood is quiet and full of charming houses. We felt the house was the perfect size for us. Our girls slept happily and comfortably on the couch and an airmatress. The hosts communicated very effectively. This was our first time using Airbnb and we are very satisfied and will use it again. Book this place with confidence! :)
