The Space

Welcome to my home - perfectly located in the heart of Copenhagen.

Charming, cozy, old, placed on the 3rd floor and very bright with high ceilings, old wooden floors, lots of personality and plenty of space.

The apartment has 4 rooms – two living rooms en suite, a bedroom with a king size bed, guestroom with a sofa bed, kitchen with a French balcony and separated bath and toilet which is very typical for old Copenhagen apartments.

The interior is a mix of old and modern. You are welcome to play on the grand piano or the guitar (that you gotta tune first) – as long as you don’t jam all day or night, or bother my sweet neighbours.. or take a nap in the hammock in the afternoon sun – very recommendable after a long day in the city.

The apartment is fully equipped with TV (only Danish channels), wireless internet, iPod-dockingstation connected to speakers, microwave, a brand new oven, modern gas-stove, washing machine and everything needed for cooking.

You have everything just around the corner. The beautiful lakes of Copenhagen, Kings Garden and Rosenborg Castle, the Botanical Garden, Ørstedsparken, the Round Tower, the trendy Nansensgade, museums, galleries, antiques, design shops and the brand new market “Torvehallerne” for all the gourmet lovers - everything else you can reach within walking distance.

Just outside the door you also find a lot of restaurants, cozy cafés, pubs, beer- cocktail and wine bars, all kinds of take away, pizza, Mexican, tapas, sushi, Asian and Italian food etc. You also find several drugstores for your grocery if you prefer to do your own cooking.

Only 2 mins. away is the Metro and train station (Nørreport) from where you can reach every corner of Denmark and even Sweden - and of course the airport, which only takes 15 mins. by Metro.

You can walk to most of the sights - like the central square, City Hall, Strøget, New Harbor (Nyhavn), the Little Mermaid, museums, Tivoli, all kinds of shopping OR you can do as we all do here.. use our bike. You can rent bikes just down the street.

After booking I will give you guidelines about getting here, what to see and do, info about public transportation in Cph and bike rental. I will be here when you arrive, show you around the apartment, tell you about the area and answer all your questions - so don't hesitate to ask :)

I welcome you and I hope you will enjoy your stay in beautiful Copenhagen!

  • Can highly recommend staying at Ditte's wonderful apartment! Not only is the apartment spacious with everything you need, but is fantastically centrally located within walking distance of everything including a foodie market and bars and restaurants. Ditte herself is lovely and made great recommendations, a boat tour is a lovely way to see the city of Copenhagen.

  • Ditte is delightful and helpful with everything and her apartment is so beautifully furnished with a feeling of home. Lovely, clean n comfortable apartment, centrally located close to the Metro n Trains, supermarkets, eateries and shopping. Ideal for exploring Copenhagen and beyond. Can't recommend highly enough.

  • Ditte's apartment was clean, spacious, bright, and exceedingly well-appointed for my husband and I and our two teens for the 6 nights we stayed there. The welcome with package Ditte had prepared for us was a nice surprise, and having coffee, sugar, ice packs, etc.. readily available made it easy to enjoy breakfast in the beautiful apartment and pack food to take with us during the day. The location was great: we walked to most of the museums and attractions we saw, and yet we were out of the super busy, high-density tourist hoopla. There is a grocery store across the street and a seemingly endless choice of restaurants and pubs in the area.
In person and by email during our visit, Ditte was an great source of information regarding Copenhagen's attractions and special events, as well as cafes and restaurants in the area.
We highly recommend this apartment and would be happy to stay there again!

  • Staying in Ditte's apartment was truly amazing!! Her apartment is really bright and tasteful decorated. Everything was available.
The communication went very smooth and the house-rules were very clear and pointed so that there could be no misunderstanding.
The view on the front-side and the backside are really nice.
    Everything is just pleasantly sophisticated!!
The location as well is just perfect; nice neighborhood close to the most interesting things to see/do, in every direction (wonderful park just one block a way!!..)
Thanks for having us, Ditte! Copenhagen was just so much more fun because we could stay at your place!

  • Ditte's apartment truly is in the perfect location, and was an excellent home base for enjoying several days in Copenhagen. We had a very pleasant stay and would recommend it to anyone who wanted to get a real feel for the city.

  • To point out how much we liked our stay at Ditte's apartment: We just hope we can stay there again next year same time!
This place is a cosy little heaven where every detail just fits. Apart from the fact that this location is really where you want to be in CPH, we just loved it. If we would have to rate this place we would give it 11 out of 10 :)
We really loved the style of the apartment. You just feel like being home. And if that wasn't enough, our host Ditte really took the time to make sure we have everything we need and we know everything we need. For example she showed us the best Sushi-place ever which was just next door. If you really want to know more, just go there and find out!

  • We loved Ditte's place. The location is perfect. Around the corner you can find a lovely food market, great coffee and nice to just walk around. Also for great places for dinner, just walk around the corner and enjoy! We only took the train onces, to visit Louisiana. That's about 30 minutes from Copenhagen. Eveything else we visited we walked from the appartement. The appartment is lovely bright and spacious. We loved to eat breakfast in the kichten and just chat, it's a very cozy kitchen. Ditte is very welcoming, she left some umbrellas, lovely tea and sweets. I would love to visit Copenhagen and Ditte's appartement again!

  • Ditte's home exceeded our expectations! Not only was it represented correctly on the website, It was located across from a grocery and Norreport station was only one block away! This made not only Copenhagen but the whole of Denmark easily accessible. Her home will be our go to place if ever we should be lucky enough make a return visit!

  • We really loved staying in this perfectly located apartment. This is an experience that no Copenhagen hotel room could match. The apartment was so large and wonderfully appointed and the location really could not be beat.

Ditte was so helpful and spent so much time making sure we were comfortable not just in the apartment, but in the city as well. The extra time she took to give us the lay of the land really helped us make the best of the few days we had in town.

    I cannot recommend it enough!!

About
I'm 37, teacher and freelancer. My office is seperated from the rest of the apartment, so I won't disturb my guests during their stay. I've lived in this apartment for 19 years and I love it - hope you will too! When you are here, I go to my small allotment house up north where I spend time in the garden. I love all the things that city life provides combined with some peaceful moment at the country side.
