About This Listing
Welcome to my home - perfectly located in the heart of Copenhagen.
Charming, cozy, old, placed on the 3rd floor and very bright with high ceilings, old wooden floors, lots of personality and plenty of space.
The apartment has 4 rooms – two living rooms en suite, a bedroom with a king size bed, guestroom with a sofa bed, kitchen with a French balcony and separated bath and toilet which is very typical for old Copenhagen apartments.
The interior is a mix of old and modern. You are welcome to play on the grand piano or the guitar (that you gotta tune first) – as long as you don’t jam all day or night, or bother my sweet neighbours.. or take a nap in the hammock in the afternoon sun – very recommendable after a long day in the city.
The apartment is fully equipped with TV (only Danish channels), wireless internet, iPod-dockingstation connected to speakers, microwave, a brand new oven, modern gas-stove, washing machine and everything needed for cooking.
You have everything just around the corner. The beautiful lakes of Copenhagen, Kings Garden and Rosenborg Castle, the Botanical Garden, Ørstedsparken, the Round Tower, the trendy Nansensgade, museums, galleries, antiques, design shops and the brand new market “Torvehallerne” for all the gourmet lovers - everything else you can reach within walking distance.
Just outside the door you also find a lot of restaurants, cozy cafés, pubs, beer- cocktail and wine bars, all kinds of take away, pizza, Mexican, tapas, sushi, Asian and Italian food etc. You also find several drugstores for your grocery if you prefer to do your own cooking.
Only 2 mins. away is the Metro and train station (Nørreport) from where you can reach every corner of Denmark and even Sweden - and of course the airport, which only takes 15 mins. by Metro.
You can walk to most of the sights - like the central square, City Hall, Strøget, New Harbor (Nyhavn), the Little Mermaid, museums, Tivoli, all kinds of shopping OR you can do as we all do here.. use our bike. You can rent bikes just down the street.
After booking I will give you guidelines about getting here, what to see and do, info about public transportation in Cph and bike rental. I will be here when you arrive, show you around the apartment, tell you about the area and answer all your questions - so don't hesitate to ask :)
I welcome you and I hope you will enjoy your stay in beautiful Copenhagen!
Basic rules that you have to follow – No smoking, no shoes, no pets, no parties or preparties, no loud music - and place nothing on the grand piano except music sheets :)
Live as if it was your own home. You are welcome to use anything in the apartment but just take care of it. It's an old building so don't play loud music and respect the neighbors.
Be nice - I really like my apartment :)
Please feel at home.
It was the second time in Ditte's beautiful apartment and everything was flawless. Everything is like you see on the pictures, very clean and decorated with taste and style. The apartment is very close to everything in the center, close to the torve hallerne market where you can get great food and close to Nørreport station, from where you get directly to the station or the airport. The apartment and host are highly recommended!
My mother and I had a wonderful time in Ditte's apartment in Copenhagen. It was spacious, light-filled, central, comfortable and well-appointed. Ditte is an excellent hostess: warm, friendly and so helpful. I would happily return here and would recommend this apartment to all (although note that there is no elevator for people who would have difficulty climbing several flights of stairs).
Ditte was an excellent host. She met with us on day one to make sure everything was okay and checked in with us during our almost 2 weeks stay to make sure we were fine. Apartment was just as shown in pictures, clean and well equipped and it easily became our cosy home away from home. I highly recommend this location.
Fantastic host, and the beautiful apartment was very clean and large.
tastefully decorated, lots of day light. Around the corner from a great bakery and many shops, restaurants, parks and the Metro.
we had a wonderful vacation, in Ditte's apartment, and can highly recommend to anyone.
Ditte's apartment is very well situated, close to Nørreport-station which can be reached both by metro and train. There are direct connections to the airport, to the main station and even to Malmö in Sweden. Also, there are modern market halls offering delicious Danish food. If you want to visit anything in the center, you get there by walking a couple of minutes, which is what we did. Of course, if you want to blend in and feel like a Dane, it's best to take a bicycle. Even though the guestroom is on the street-side, one can find calm sleep there. There was close to zero traffic during the night.
The apartment is incredibly well decorated - especially if you're into Jazz. Ditte made it a real gem. There is more than enough space in all rooms. Even though apartments in older houses are notoriously difficult to keep clean, we found the apartment in absolutely impeccable condition, just like it had been prepared for a photo-book!
Ditte herself was very flexible. Due to engine problems of our airplane, we arrived one day late and Ditte organized an alternative way to hand over the keys. Therefor I hardly had the chance to talk to Ditte, but she offered kind help several times via email.
All in all, our stay in Copenhagen was just perfect and I am happy to have chosen Ditte's apartment. This is clearly a strong recommendation for everyone except loud, messy or dirty groups (but then again, which apartment would suit such a group?)
We came back to CPH in June and were happy we could stay again in Ditte's wonderful apartment. Ditte really knows how to make you feel at home. She proves excellent taste in furnishing her home and you'll find everything you need for a pleasent stay, including a welcome package with brochures, cookies and chips :)
Thanks to Ditte and I'm sure it won't have been the last visit!
About the Host, Ditte
I'm 38, teacher and freelancer. My office is seperated from the rest of the apartment, so I won't disturb my guests during their stay.
I've lived in this apartment for 20 years and I love it - hope you will too! When you are here, I go to my small allotment house up north where I spend time in the garden.
I love all the things that city life provides combined with some peaceful moment at the country side.
