Over-the-top fabulous in the heart of Chicago's hopping East Lakeview/Boystown neighborhood, right on Lake Shore Drive. 2000 square feet on a single floor, grand rooms, vintage detailing, premier Beaux Arts building. Promise, it's all good.
Over-the-top fabulous in the heart of Chicago's hopping East Lakeview/Boystown neighborhood, right on Lake Shore Drive. 2000 square feet on a single floor, grand rooms, vintage detailing, premier Beaux Arts rental building with 24-hour doorstaff, ginormous windows that look out onto the lake, harbor and park from every room. Whip-up breakfast in a yarn-wrapped kitchen under a disco ball, and then settle down to eat on a rosewood table under a turn of the century chandelier. Super swank pad of electric blues, chocolate brown, and an orange so vibrant it almost pulsates. Because the universe is kind, we're a show-house for the Jennifer Norback gallery, so brace yourself for some insanely cool art. The place has a good vibe.
My two adorable children (15 and 13) share a magical bohemian-forest bedroom, but it’s lovely for grown-ups, too. It has two twin beds; one is on a sleeping loft with a tempurdedic topped airbed below. My room has a totally dreamy king-size pillow top bed. All three mattresses are the same kind they use at the Four Seasons (yup, we're sleep snobs), and both bedrooms have full bathrooms.
Our white miniature poodle, Milo, won't be here if you rent the whole place, however, our five beta fish don't travel. They're fun to watch at the end of a long day after you've had a cocktail or two.
Our pad is walking distance to the Lincoln Park Zoo, Wrigley Field, museums, and tons of great playgrounds, restaurants, shops, bars, gyms, comedy clubs and theaters, and a weekly farmer's market. The best part is the park and harbor just across the street--miles of lakefront, perfect for a morning run or a late night stroll.
Some nights, our entire apartment can be booked for $380; other nights, just the kid's bedroom for $130. The dates will be clear based on the price you see in the calendar. There's a $30 cleaning fee, but if you're booking the whole apt for a long weekend or more, it's $95. If you buy or sell any of Jennifer's artwork, you can stay the night for free!
Promise, promise, it's all good.
Sometimes will be staying nearby, sometimes not. If we're in town, we're happy to share a meal, leave you alone, or point you in the right direction.
East Lakeview/Boystown is eclectic neighborhood is a vibrant mix of hipsters, families, socialites, buskers, orthodox Jews, and gays, with just enough heart and grit to make you feel good about living in the city. Plus, we have the best gelato, cupcakes, falafel and fried Korean chicken in Chicago, hands-down.
Hop a five minute cab or the 146 express buss to downtown and the loop right out our front door. The Belmont stop El train (brown/red line) is a ten minute walk away. Hail a cab right out front in minutes. Parking is a big drag in my neighborhood, so skip the rental car. I don't own a car and happily get around on foot, cab, or bus. If you are driving, there's street parking and a public lot just a block away (Broadway and Roscoe).
There's a Divvy bike station right outside my building. If the weather's nice, grab a bike and ride downtown along the lake or explore any of Chicago's great neighborhoods.

Jacqueline was the best host ever! She went above and beyond to make my stay perfect! Her place is beautiful!
Beautiful, truly fabulous, unique condo. Everything was just as described. Jacqueline even baked us a bunch of chocolate-chip scones for the weekend!
Better than I imagined and I imagined a lot. What you can expect is a very special junction of art, location, and Jacqueline's gracious touch. I hope to know all Chicago seasons from the "Drop-Dead Fab." We really loved our stay.
Jacqueline's apartment was terrific! Exactly as described, great location, plenty of space and she's got a great sense of style. It was the perfect base for the four of us. It's a very quick walk to the restaurants and shops of Lakeview (and the original, very first location of Intelligentsia coffee). Communication was great too - Jacqueline was easily available by text or phone, and even left us croissants to heat up on our first morning. Highly recommended!
This is a fantastic apartment - truly drop dead gorgeous. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and really appreciated Jacqueline's accessibility (by email) and her responses to all our questions. A tremendously wonderful stay in Chicago.
What a great place and area, right overlooking the bay with many options for food and entertainment. The street of Broadway that runs through Boystown is a block away with many hangouts to enjoy. I would recommend Dryhop Brewers and also a hole in the wall, Jacqueline's, if you are looking for some adult beverages. Is this by any chance your bar Jacqueline??? Hehe. Although I didn't get to personally meet her, we communicated well and I had her housekeeper a text away with any questions. The condo/apartment is amazing and spacious with an eclectic look and feel. Overall a great place in a great area to get to explore Chicago. I can't wait to visit again!
This is a truly wonderful apartment, in a beautiful part of the city. Fantastic lake views, and loads of space. Apartment is well equipped and felt like a home from home for us. Near local shops, cafes etc , and only a 10 minute taxi ride downtown. Although Jacqueline was out of town during our stay she was in touch to make sure everything was OK , and was a pleasure to deal with.
All this for the same cost as a couple of dull boxy hotel rooms. Come and stay in this city, in this apartment- you won't be disappointed!
We had a great time in Jacqueline's home. The pictures are accurate. The location is incredible...right across from the park. The Lakeview East community is adorable with many boutique restaurants. Jacqueline was a great host too...we didn't meet but she was always in communication with me. I would recommend her and her home to my friends.
The apartment was fantastic. The decor was lovely and I could not have asked for a better location to stay in Chicago. The apartment was well maintained and exactly as described. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
If you appreciate art and design, and are looking for a place to inspire your creativity, then this is the place for you! Jacqueline is a lovely host and provided everything we needed.
