The Space

A charming cosy romantic mini studio with a grand quality, design & comfort based concept on a high standard Apart-Hotel room in a Fantastic location in a chic & artistic quarter of historical Marais.
The flat is found to be easy on the 2 nd floor no elevator as it's historically presenting aged ancient building in an époque 17th Century. it's typically found in this district as an oldest part of Paris as it 's well known to be one of historical Marais district which presents timelessly characteristic old charms & its special value.

The flat is offering delightfully Brand New!
It's been entirely renovated with the most latest updated modern appliances .the room has been smartly arranged with carefully chosen quality materials in a tasteful design.
A modern bathroom equipped a comtemporian stylish inox shower unit with multiple water jets which offer a luxury Hydro-massage for à whole body shower .
An ultra modern kitchenette is compact yet well equipped & fully functional which is ready to be served conveniently for daily breakfast or your occasional home made meals as you wish.
The studette has been thoughtfully studied into every inch to optimize the space & thought of ultimate function in order to provide at a maximum comforts for the guests.
In order to achieve our ultimate goal for the guests's highest satisfaction & unforgettable experience of an authentic parisian like living during the stay ,we maintain our service at a good standard at all time.
Ultimately to hear back from the guest to feel themselves at home away home in Paris at this sweet nest.

There are numerous restaurants , cafes & bars surrounded & just stone through away from the flat building as it being situated in a right heart center of Marais .
However the flat itself has been situated rather secluded inside a peacefully quiet backyard , a minute long walk through a passage from the entrance door leads to a quiet courtyard where absolutely charming medieval ambiance of backyard with flowers & plants which would greet you with a nice surprise of an old world charm . Once you are being inside the flat with even widely open windows you would hardly hear any noise but some singing birds...a magical tranquility would enchant you & to offer you a peacefully resting night after your busy schedule of exploring a town for all day long.

***It has been a WIFI issue with some guests as seen on the review. The issue has been persisting due to a defect on external cables, despite of the three times changed the internet providers. However, it's finally solved all and the WIFI connection is now perfectly in working order!

The flat will be equiped & provided:
-Paris's guide books,maps,pamphlets of tourism
-High speed Internet WiFi
-Towels & fresh linens
-Soap & toilet papers
-Coffee ,tea,salt & paper...etc.
-Hair dryer ,a ventilator, a washing machine
(Also Iron & board will be provided upon request)
- Self-catering facilities including a refrigerator,multifunction Micro onde & Grille, a coffee maker,a toaster, a cattle ,dish wares & utensils...

It's been clearly spell out here about a size of accommodation ,it's a SMALL surface of 13m2
which reflect reasonably within an affordable budget .
The flat would certainly offer you countless qualities including unbeatably prime location ,all brand new high quality modern equipments & excellent standard service for your best comforts,
however it would not be suitable for the guests to whom the size of flat is their priority.
Therefore I would like to recommend strongly not to book this flat but to look for some other specious accommodation.
As we described here in details as clearly as possible what 's strong & weak point of accomodation.
The rate of flat correspond correctly a value of market & we have been stated clearly a condition of flat in order to help you to make a clearer decision to avoid any regret after booking.
Our ultimate goal of letting business is indeed to be achieved at the highest level of satisfaction possible from the guests . Further more it is a real touching appreciation for me as owner to hear back the satisfaction.
I would prefer to be emptied the place rather than having troubles with any dissatisfaction & any regrettable reviews.

This is Strictly NÔ SMOKING flat !!!
an alarm system has been installed & it will detect when you smoke thus we have to inevitably insist a Smoking is Seriously FORBIDDEN inside the room.

The Neighborhood

The flat has surrounded by the most landmarks of Paris within easy walking distance to important visiting spots such as numerous museums including a modern museum Centre Pompidou,Musee Picasso,Hotel de Ville ,Cathedral Notre Dames de Paris,Musee du Louvres,Pont Neuf ,Ils Saint Louis,Quartier Latin,Concorde ,Arc de Triumph , Champes-Elysées,Saint Germain des Prés,Saint Honores, numerous shopping area on rue Rivoli ,daily romantic promanade by the river Seine...etc.
All local amenities are near by grocery ,Drugstore,Supermarkets,bakery... the flat is in surrounding trendy hustle bustle Marais district , so much more has to be offered you not only numerous shops & fashionable boutiques along famous rue Vieillie du Temple & rue des Franc Bourgeioses with tones of restaurants ,Cafes & Bars just around corner of the building but also there are many art galleries.
Although you would walk to all major sites ,the Métro , numerous Bus & Velibes are serving within a minute away.

Other Things to Note

Check In
  • Incredible experience, very pleased. Yes, it is very, very small. But the price and location were just what we wanted. You can't get any more central than this, it seems you are walking distance from just about everything you'll want to do in Paris. The building is very quiet at night and the bed is comfortable. You get a code to enter the room with, so you never have to coordinate with the host for check-in or check-out, which was very convenient.

  • The apartment is small but that's said in the description, otherwise it's very cute and you have everything you need.
Bathroom is small but has everything you need. The shower worked well but you have to be aware of the electronic toilet.
We cooked a little bit and the kitchen has everything you need for small meals or breakfast.
Big pro of the apartment is the area! Only 5min walking to Norte Dame is perfect.
The WiFi and the automatic door lock worked without any problems.
We really enjoyed our stay there!

  • Great Location... so centered ... so closed to Metro station, only 1 minute walk to Hotel deVille .. only 2 minutes walk to the beautiful St.Martin Canal , only 4 minutes walk to the infamous Notreadame.. the hop and off bus interchange is on the bridge in front of Notredame... so basically you are in the heart of Paris... so easy to go anywhere. Love the interior.. fresh design.. The studio is very small as described, but fit for two person who are very comfortable at each other ... The only minus point is the very dark alleyway (especially at night when the sun has gone) after the entrance door.. maybe adding some bright big lamps will help improve much :) Marie is a great host. Thanks Marie.

  • I hope my experience can really help future travelers if you face the same issue.

I gave 1 star for the host. It was a long stressful annoying two days out of the four days I stayed. The electronic door lock didn’t work the 2nd morning I was there. The host wasted my time & demanded money for repair. She would show up hours late of when we agreed to meet to fix the issue, being very inconsiderate that I was there on vacation (NOT APT SITTING). I ended up sitting around 2 days waiting for repair & Marie also had the audacity to have the contract renovation other items in bathroom during my stay. The fix was minor due to lock being so old (the contractor only sprayed oil and it worked) but she still demanded 50EUR (bargain down from 200EUR) for something that should have worked correctly in the 1st place. Felt like a con to me! I am sad this is my 1st Airbnb and will be my last. I would stay away from this property just to avoid the risk to be lock outside overnight like me.

I gave 4 star for the flat itself. The location is great, mins walk to all. The flat is small (10sq ft) but has everything you need. There was a strong paint smell with windows closed. The hot water tank only gave enough for a military style shower for one.

  • Marie was very helpful on the phone and was very accommodating. The flat is tiny, tiny. That cannot be emphasised enough, though it is also clearly spelled out in the description. The electric toilet was the real let down, as was not having wifi, something mentioned by other reviewers. The toilet situation is not, to my mind, clearly spelled out in the description (you cannot flush toilet paper).

That said, it is right smack dab in the middle of where you want to be, and well served by trains.

  • As mentioned in multiple other reviews, the promises of cable TV and wifi were unfulfilled. We tried accessing the wifi on various devices (iPhone 5s, Samsung Galaxy S4, iPod Touch 4, and a PC laptop) and could not get a connection on any of them. When we contacted Marie, her responses were infrequent and unhelpful. After a couple emails, she told us she would come by and get the wifi fixed. We came back to the studio and found it gone, but discovered it again stored in a drawer that evening. We did not hear back until we prompted her by email again. As we were visitors from the US, not having wifi prevented us from communicating with friends/family/work, planning our days, researching transportation, etc. Despite the 8 days we stayed in her studio, Marie did not get anything resolved; after our return and some email communication she did offer 40 euro refund.

Note the large beam in the photos – it runs directly through the middle of the studio (when you look at the pictures of the table and chairs, the camera must be position directly below it, at chest level) and is unavoidable – you will run into it or hit your head at some point.

The size of the studio is accurately advertised – it is very tiny. That isn't an issue if you’re with someone you are comfortable with. The biggest problem is that the toilet won’t flush toilet paper (there is a long note from Marie explaining the costs of plumbing if anything is flushed) and you need to put your toilet paper into a bag to take out at a later time. The bathroom ‘door’ is also just a shuttered closet door, so
you can hear/see anything going on inside. The size of the studio also means you won’t be very far from it, even with the door closed.

Overall, the experience in this studio wasn't terrible. The neighborhood is wonderful! It's blocks from Notre Dame and close to a bunch of metro stations. Despite the size of the studio, it’s absolutely livable, as long as you are comfortable with the person you share the space with. I would absolutely not have chosen to stay in this place if I had read the review mentioning the wifi issues, and am concerned that the studio continues to boast cable TV and wifi as it did when we booked it as well. Considering the number of tiny Paris studios available on this site, I would avoid a host who can’t provide all promised amenities and doesn't work to resolve an issue in a timely, or communicative, manner.

  • Hi everyone,

I like this room because of location and its cozy style :) Keep in mind that room is very small, so its not the best way for many folks.

During our stay we haven't had an internet at all, but internet was unnecessary for us.

I like the idea with locker, but not sure if thus code changing every time for new guests.

Anyway, it was a great time for us in Paris. Thanks a lot to host!

  • I stayes in this apartment in beautiful Le Marais for four nights. Marie was very helpful from the beginning with the arrangements for check-in and out. Everything went without any problem and I have spent five amazing days in Paris. The apartment is very well located, there are several restaurants around, the metro stations are also close by, so everything in the city is easily reachable. The appartment is cozy, clean, comfortable, with beautiful decor. All in all I really enjoyed the place and the staircase leading to it :) I would definitely recommend this apartment and would be happy to return.

  • My sister and I spent a wonderful week in Paris in Marie's quaint little studette. The place was exactly as described in the listing. While the space is small, it is perfectly comfortable for 2 people with enough room to cook and enjoy a meal. The bed was VERY comfortable with great bed linens. The location is absolutely PERFECT. Very well situated in the Marias, within walking distance to Notre Dame church, George Pompidou Center, the Bastile, and other great sites. There is a great little health food store (Naturalia) as well as a Franprix 1 minute away - for those of you who like to eat in at times. There is a "Velilibre" bicycle outlet just around the corner from the BHV which is one block over. The place is very quiet and cozy. Thanks Marie!

  • Had a great stay in Marie's little apartment. The posting doesn't exaggerate, it is a very small space (kudo's to the photographer who made it look considerably larger!) but it is a very comfortable and well finished place. The location is hard to beat, being literally just down the street from Notre Dame, and only a few minutes walk from the Louvre and many other museums and attractions. The immediate neighbourhood is (email hidden)ly place, with cafe's, bistro's and clubs everywhere, along with some great bakeries and interesting shopping.

This is apartment is a great place to come back to for a rest after a day in the city. The kitchen, while small, is well equipped win glasses/frying pans/cutlery/etc, and we cooked a couple of simple meals during our stay. I would thoroughly recommend this spot to anyone planning a busy vacation in Paris, but if you're looking for space to lounge around or set up an office/work space, I'd suggest you look elsewhere.
