We have moved! We loved hosting in Providence and hope you will check out our new house out in the country! Please look at our other listing. Thank you!
A cozy room with a queen bed (linens provided) for two in a spare room in our house. You will have your own bathroom with a full shower. We have wireless internet and parking for one car included in the rent.
Our house is in the very center of Smith Hill, 20 minute car ride from TF Green Airport, and a 5 minute walk to the train station, convention center, providence place mall, RISD, etc. and all other downtown attractions.
We love animals and will accept a very friendly dog for $20 extra that will get along with our two friendly dogs and not kill the cat.
Smoking is allowed on the patio out back.
We have a parking space for one car (included in rent and very rare in Providence).
I promise you will be very comfortable and have plenty of space at our house! So much more fun, interesting, and inexpensive than a hotel. Perfect for people working an event at the convention center or coming into town for a Brown, RISD, Providence College event.
Do not hesitate to contact me with any questions. Please note, I am a farmer and there are times I do not have my phone on me out in the field. I may not respond to your message until I am finished working in the dirt. We look forward to meeting you soon!
This was my first Airbnb experience and it sold me on the whole idea. Anna Jane's positive reviews are well-deserved. Her and Bradley explained everything I needed to know upon arrival and were available if I needed anything, but I didn't. Other than that I felt at home. And their pets are adorable, calm and well-behaved.
The room was comfortable and clean, and there was a a/c window unit just for that room. The house is very old, I think it's typical of Providence and that neighborhood. If you want absolute modern luxury, book a big-name hotel, if you want vintage Providence, stay here. At worst, it's a comfy bed and your own bathroom. At best, it's a real cool house with nice pets in a great location.
I felt Anna and Brad were excellent hosts. It was like our home away from home. Both were very welcoming. Anna made a beautiful floral arrangement for our room which was a very unexpected pleasant welcoming gesture. We had our privacy and especially enjoyed having our morning coffee out in the garden.
Their home is centrally located and easy to get around from.
Anna and Brad were excellent hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed and felt welcome in their home. They really know the city, and their recommendations were spot on.
Their home is very unique. We loved the huge garden and all the artwork. If you are an animal lovers, you'll love their home. Anna and Brad has the friendliest dogs and cat.
I definitely recommend staying here.
We came in late one night in the middle of a heat wave and Anna had already been cooling the room for us! She gave us a tour of her home's amazing garden, adorable pets, and cozy everything.
The next morning we were greeted with warm coffee and a note about who would be around when. That second night we were home alone- it amazes me how trusting the airbnb community can be! We feasted on some green beans that Anna invited us to (and chilled for us) and were relieved as the heat wave broke later that day.
Anna is a great host full of recommendations. Her and Brad keep a very welcoming home and were two very friendly people who make you feel right at home.
I had a great stay with Anna and Brad. I was able to walk there from Kennedy Plaza, where the bus from Boston dropped me off, and I could walk from their house to my conference at the Marriott. Their house is clean and comfortable, and they were both very friendly. I spent two evenings there and got to chat with them each a little. My room was up its own staircase and had a fan and an A/C unit, which was very nice given the crazy heat and humidity. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space for my belongings. The private bathroom was spacious and clean as well. There was a fresh bar of soap waiting for me in addition to the towels, and Anna even made enough coffee for me in the morning. They have a cat and two dogs, and as a neutral animal person, I can say that the big dog and the cat were easy to get along with, and I appreciated that they kept the small dog from bothering me. If you love animals, you'd probably love them. I would definitely stay here again.
Anna and Brad were super accommodating, cool, friendly, and pretty much thought of everything. Despite the fact that we were stuck in traffic and more than an hour later than planned, Brad stayed up past midnight to let us in, welcome us, show us around, and even engaged in some casual conversation before we crashed. The place and room were clean, and well-appointed with thoughtful the bathroom spacious, and everything went very smoothly. Bonus giant dog/little dog combo deal could not be cuter, nicest cat I've ever met (maybe a little TOO nice), and some impromptu pancakes as I was waiting for my travel companion to finish showering made this an overall great experience. So much better (and cheaper) than a hotel and will definitely be the first place I think of when I return to Providence. Oh yeah, and they live only a handful of blocks away from New York System - home of some of the best hot dogs (wienies) I've ever had. Highly recommended to anyone without a cat, dog, or down-to-earth human allergy.
Anna and her husband provided a clean and comfortable place to stay during a trip to Providence for a conference. I fully enjoyed the stay and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone.
Tons of space here, and the hosts were incredibly friendly. They definitely give you your privacy here. Also, their pets are super friendly (their cat Holiday will come curl up with you in bed if you let him in the room). Only con I can think of is that it might not be a good place to stay if you have pet allergies.
Anna and Bratt (and their pets) are great hosts! we had a wonderful time at Providence and it was fun sharing experiences with them! the house is also well located and we got around on foot during our whole stay.
My husband and I spent three nights at Anna Jane's house and found it to be a perfect place to stay while we visited our daughter in Providence. The room was cozy and clean, the coffee delicious, the wi-fi great. Their home has the feel of a rural oasis in an urban neighborhood near the RI statehouse; as you open the gate from the driveway, you enter a delightful garden complete with chickens and ducks, a most friendly dog and a sweet cat. The interior decor reflects their artistic talents and those of their friends.
Anna Jane and her husband were very friendly and helpful with advice about restaurants.
We would gladly return!
