Xavier is an excellent host, he even waited for us at the train station. He made us feel more than welcome to his apartment which is better than than described. He sat with us and gave us excellent recommendations that can occupy us at least a few days. The neighborhood is excellent, everything you need is just a few minutes away. A highly recommended host and listing.
A lovely and convenient apartment. Xavier responded immediately and was very helpful.
As soon as we pulled up in the car Xavier was there to help us. He made us feel very welcome and gave us some very good tips for seeing Como and surrounds.
We stayed in the apartment for 3 nights, the location was fantastic. Close to bus, train & ferry terminals and downtown Como.
Xavier was really helpful at check in with lots of advice on what to do in & around Como and the Lake.
The apartment was exactly what we had expected, clean, comfortable with all mod cons. Wifi is a bit hit & miss but overall would recommend.

About the Host, Sam & Xavier
Heading for our forth anniversary, Sam and I have been exploring options of where to settle over the last couple of years. When we first met, I was working in Miami and Sam lived in London. We both shared the same dream of one day running our own boutique hotel but we first had to overcome the obstacles of long distance and after a year of living basically out of a suitcase we've come to call Como our home town.
Well, we've decided to start small. We love being on the lake and surrounded by mountains. We both love to travel and always looking for new destinations to explore. When we travel, we shy away from the big hotels and prefer a more intimate experience staying in places where we can feel at home.
When it comes to helping out fellow travellers, we are always available to offer our advice and assistance.
Great atmosphere and the best Sicilian food. Large portions and friendly service. Say "Ciao" to Francesca and Mariano and tell them you are staying at the apartment in Via Torno Apartments!
Great Pizzas and great prices..beer and Pizza for 2 for under 20 Euros!!
Great home-style cooking with everything made in house. Large selection of really huge salads. Diego and his team are truly hospitable and you won't leave disappointed!
Take the scenic funicular that climbs to more than 650m above Como to arrive at the quaint town of Brunate where once the rich Milanese would spend their summers
Best Ice-cream in town!!! No other explanation needed!
"Theatrical" is how I describe it. Fresh home-made pasta and traditioanl Italian cuisine set in a very eclectic and sumptuous decor. Great outdoor garden for lunch!
