Valerie's artist's cottage was a great place for us. Not too fancy, very quaint and secluded. Just a 15 minute walk to the main beach and just a 5 minute walk to two major art festivals and the Pageant of the Masters. Surrounded by greenery and always a lovely breeze.

The cuttage was very clean in a very private and cozy location with all facilities, It was close to the main beach But it needs an air conditioner in the summer time

Valerie's cottage was the perfect space and location for me to spend a couple months out of the MN winter. It had an awesome artist vibe and the neighborhood was so welcoming and friendly. Easy walk everyday to the beach/restaurants/shopping and beautiful sunsets at night. Great bed and linens and the washer and dryer was a huge plus! Very private backyard that was great for reading and sunning in the afternoons. Also loves the big counter-island which was great for entertaining when friends stopped by. I loved every minute of it and I would certainly stay here again!

Very cool place. Kind of an old surfers' / artists' cottage. While it's not an issue for shorter stays, the wifi / cable connection isn't great and if you're staying for a month, this can get annoying. Also, AT&T coverage is virtually non-existent. Again, not an issue for shorter stays, but it can get old if you're there for weeks at a time. Other than that, loved it!

Valerie's cottage is full of charm and art. A voyage by itself. It has everything you need. The surrounding is quiet and has the a good smell of the woods. Its walking distance to Laguna center or you can take the trolley (summer). The 4 of us lived close toghether in the small home and had a good time:)

I stayed in the cottage for the month of June 2016. It will very clean, well decorated, very large and very quiet. It's located in the canyon area of Laguna Beach, which is a 15 min walk to the beach. I did not get to meet Valarie but she was communicative over e-mail. I would say the highlight was a washer/dryer in the cottage which is helpful during a month long stay. Keep in mind this is a cottage in the woods, and there were a decent amount of bugs around. I don't have any issue of that, but others may.

I teach art and enjoy the beach. Laguna is an ideal place if you appreciate art and the ocean.
