B&B"ilia" _ Apartment near S.Peter

Apartment - Private room · Via Caio Mario, Rome, Lazio 00192, Italy

The Space

B&Bilia it's located in the historical centre of Rome, really close to Vatican's museums and S.Peter's church.
The A metro station “Ottaviano” is only 2 minutes walking.
By this way, it's possible to reach Piazza di Spagna, Fontana di Trevi, the Pantheon, the Colosseum and the Imperial fora in a few minutes.

You can arrive by metro without taking a taxi. From Termini's central station (connected with airports through train and bus) you only have to take the A metro, and go down after six stops, at “Ottaviano-S.Pietro” station.

The apartment, with high ceilings and very bright rooms, is located at the fourth floor of a typical building from 1900's (with elevator), and looks on to a silent street and a characteristic courtyard.
The quarter is quiet and full of services: shops (via Cola di Rienzo, 5 minutes walking, it's one of the principal shopping street) restaurants, pizzerias, and a beautiful cover market from 1900.

The apartment comprises a big living room, a kitchen, two rooms (with external bathroom to share) and my private room.
By request, is it possible to host a fifth person on a folding bed.

The kitchen is for private use only, but it's possible to utilize the fridge and eventually to heat up something.
The bathroom has a comfortable shower of 70x80cm. Every guest has his towels.

The rooms have their linen and covers.
There is no air conditioning, because of the big wall (60cm wide) that provide a good thermal insulation. Anyway, there's a fan in every room.

In addition:
>>> free internet WIFI
>>> telephone for national calls and emergency services

Breakfast included, made up of coffee, Nescafè, tea, milk, jam, honey, cereals, bread and fruit!

I live in the apartment, so I will be there to receive you, giving information about the surrounding areas and the city!

To arrange for the arrival, don't hesitate to contact me.
Have a nice time in Rome!

  • We were staying at Cecilia´s home for five days and we really enjoyed it. Her apartment is super nice. Cecilia has a great taste in furniture and decoration.
The room was very spacious, clean and quiet. Breakfast was typical "Italian small" but great as well. She offered toast, jam, fruit, yoghurt, cookies and of course Espresso, milk and tea.
The apartment is only 5 minutes walk from Ottaviano subway station, so perfect to get around. Also, the Vatican area offers lots of shopping opportunities and we also went to some great restauarnts nearby.
Cecilia is a very nice and helpful person - Thanks Cecilia for making us feel at home at your place. We had a great time!

  • Cecilia was really hearty host. She allowed me to freely use many facilities as much as I could with guidelines. I could be relaxed during my staying. Location was perfect for Vatican tours but little away from central Rome. It takes 5-10 mins to get there by metro.
Breakfast was also fine. You serve yourself(breads+mixed cereals+OJ+Coffee+Cookies, etc) breakfast and it was quite comfy for me because I had a tour schedule early morning.

  • To me, this was the perfect location! I walked everywhere during my two day stay.. From Vatican, to Coliseum, to the Pantheon, etc.. And it's right next to the Metro if you prefer the train.

As for the place, it's very spacious and clean. Nice and quiet. I wasn't there most of the time, since I was walking around Rome, but when I was there, I enjoyed it, since there was wifi and Cecilia also had plenty to eat and drink.

Cecilia is very nice! She gave me a map and recommended some places to visit.

Rome by far is my most cherished experience here in Europe.. Absolutely loved the Sistine Chapel.

    Thanks, Cecilia.

  • Great apartment in a great location! It was clean and in a quieter neighborhood close enough to the center to still be able to walk everywhere. Cecilia was a great host and had good suggestions for places to visit. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone.

  • Right near the Vatican and Metro station, with two flights and a lift to help with the luggage. The apartment has two rooms for rent and Ilia lives on site. Very comfortable beds and the breakfast was self help from a range of muesli, toast breads, coffee and tea. The bathroom was shared with other inmates and it was clean, although the water built up in the shower base (a good plumber would help). Ilia was very hospitable with maps and referrals to good restaurants in the area. Bit noisy - so choose the quiet bedroom at the back of the flat. Good value.

  • Cecilia's apartment is warm and welcoming. Very close to the metro and local restaurants which were not full of tourists.
    I had a lovely stay.

  • We really had no expectations and went strictly based on other's reviews, having never visited Italy or used Airbnb. We got exactly what was represented. Cecelia pointed out the various parts of town, and how to get to them and even supplied a map book and our first day walking around was one of our best memories of our trip. Everything was within walking distance and we had a wonderful day. Cecelia also pointed us to a nearby wine bar and we enjoyed that as well. No complaints!

I live in Rome, in my house which I renovated with passion! I'm a landscape architect, working with public spaces, gardens and parks. I really love to design, starting with architectural projects, but enjoying also small accessories. I also organize workshops with children, where they can enjoy architecture, recycle and a good green culture. I really love to travel and discover new places and culture. I love dinner and cook with friends, go to theatre and concerts, art expositions, walking, biking and camping. I expecially love dancing, and most of all lindy hop (30's jazz dance), that I dance since 2 years! I speak english, french, portoguese and spanish.
