  • If you want to experience Montréal, Nils apartment is the right place to get a genuine feeling of this very special city. The place is cosy and very well located, only a few minutes from the metro, Saint-Denis, Saint Laurent... The garden where the trees just started blossoming last week is fresh and would be the perfect place to hang out with some friendly Quebecers, enjoying some of the many craft beer brewed in the area. Plan B, Bilikun, Salon Daoume... many places to have a casual drink, or even go out are a few steps away. The street is quiet, as is the place in itself. I highly recommend this flat to anybody who want a charming first impression of the City.

  • Super experience.

  • A flawless flat and offer. Furnished in a very tasteful vintage style and perfectly equipped with everything one might need for a stay of a few days or even weeks. The large (sunny!) backyard garden is fantastic.
We lived in Nils' flat for 7 days, as a couple with a three-year-old son. For kids of that age the flat offers plenty of space to play and relax.
What we appriciated on top of all that were Nils' quick and helpful answers to all our questions before and during the stay. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

  • The apartment is nice and functional, very easy to use, with everything you need provided (up to a toothbrushes holder in the bathroom!) The washer and dryer were very much appreciated. You will hear some noise from above (creaking floors and bad plumbing) but we found later this is the case for every old apartment in Montreal, so neither Nils or even the neighbors are to blame for this! The main asset of the apartment is its proximity to everything: it is situated in the very heart of the Plateau, and the neighborhood is fantastic. We recommend in particular Au cinquième péché, a delicious bistro 4475 Rue St Denis (we went for dinner there 3 days in a row, they couldn't believe we kept coming back! ) and Café Le couteau, 4627 Rue St Denis, which serves the best expresso in Montreal.
We didn't meet Nils, but he was easy to contact and answered every mail immediately.

  • Lovely apartment with all of your basic traveling needs covered. The apartment is truly in the heart of the Plateau with the shopping, cycling, and dining perks without any of the street noise to keep you up at night. We will definitely contact Nils for a return visit.

  • Nils and Anita's place is great - location unbeatable, and it's a fantastically cozy little place. I was here for a few days while passing through the city. The fridge is a little small if you plan on cooking during your stay, but everything else is great for 2-4 people visiting. Nils is a very good host, with perfect instructions. I look forward to staying with then again in the future!

    Response from Nils:

We are happy you enjoyed our place.
There is a small fridge which amply suits our needs as a family.
We decided to save on space when designing the apartment and to be more environmentally friendly by running a small fridge rather then have an unnecessarily large one especially since there are many supermarkets within walking distance.

  • Everything was so seamless. Nils was very communicative leading up to our stay and left us a key upon arrival. Having lived in Montreal, the place was very nostalgic and comforting, boasting a typical Montreal style and charm. It looks exactly like the photos and was very clean with all the amenities you could need. The apartment is on the small side (perfect for a couple) and they've brilliantly designed the space (unsurprising given the stacks of design magazines). The bed is very comfortable, the place was perfectly sun-kissed and there was already-ground espresso for the morning, and a patisserie around the corner to grab the best croisstants. We'll definitely be back.

  • We enjoyed a terrific few January days in this very pleasant apartment in the heart of Mount Royal. There was ample room and comfortable sleeping (great bed and sofa bed) for our group of four adults The apartment is bright and sunny, spotless, and well provided with everything one could wish for in the kitchen. Nils is a welcome and accommodating host.

We`ll want to return in the summer, when we can enjoy the peaceful little back yard!

  • Just wanted to say that we had a great time at Nils apartment! The location is perfect and I can't wait to go back in the summer and enjoy that huge garden backyard. Nils (email hidden) and was around to answer any questions very quickly. If you stay there walk up to mount royal st and turn left and there is this old school parisan bakery that is the best ever.

  • Nils' Garden Apartment was as gorgeous as the photos show. Very quickly it felt like home and (email hidden) to return to for the night after spending the days exploring Montreal. Perfect location (quiet, but also close to major streets and nightlife).
