My cozy and comfortable one bed apartment with river view has a true city feeling. Just 1 minute walk from Mapo station where you can take subway line 5. It connects major tour spots within 10-30 minutes, only 1.5 USD fare.
People do love my apartments because,
1. Really close to the station. 1 minute walk to Mapo subway station exit 1.
2. Takes only 10-20 minutes to the city center like, City hall, Gwanghwamun, Gyeongbok palace and Myeongdong by subway
3. There are many delicious restaurants. Rips of beef and pork were originally from this neighborhood.
4. Han river view. And, Han river park is only 5 minutes walk. You can take a walk along the Han river.
5. Very quite as this building is manly used for office not a residents.
People don't like my apartment because,
1. Building is bit old. Exterior of this building is not fancy.
2. As this building is mainly used for companies, there are not many people who live in this building. After 9 pm, the light of the hallway will be turned off by the maintenance office. Some of female guests are scared of the darkness :)
3. Due to government policy, the air cooler and air heater temperature should be set to 26 degree during the winter and summer. Provide a fan for the summer and people can use another floor heater anytime.
4. The bed is bit hard especially to westerner. Camping mattress can be provided.

First time using Airbnb. I stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. And after this experience, I will definitely highly recommend this website to all my travelling friends. Jaemu gave detailed instructions to his home offering all possible transport options plus price and expected travelling time. Finding the house was definitely easy. House was well located with plenty of eaterys nearby. House was equipped with the necessary and more. Jaemu responded quickly to my questions. I enjoyed my stay!
The bed was as hard as a rock, It was like sleeping on a concrete slab. I didn't have any hot water for the shower at night for the whole week.
The bed is bit hard, but not as a rock, it is bit an overstatement. Some guests prefer a hard bed.
It would have been nicer of you to inform me about hot water problem with your own so that I could let you know how to use it. Nobody hasn't been able to use hot water so far. And, I've asked to a maintenance of this building, there was no problem with the hot water.
Stayed at Jaemu's for a total of 8 nights. Had a pleasant stay. Location in my opinion was pretty good. The place is really near the train station which makes everything pretty accessible. The building/level as far as I can tell is mostly offices though, so it is very quiet at night and the corridors had very little light, so if you're a bit scared of the dark, this might be good to know (; Jaemu's place is a bit old, but clean and well maintained, hence comfortable. The computer is in perfect condition and was really helpful in planning our itinerary. The mobile egg was also extremely helpful to have! Jaemu was also a great host. Really responsive and helpful with any queries we had. He also helped keep our luggage when we went to Busan/Gyeongju, so that was great. Overall a good experience (: thanks Jaemu.
Jaemu's place was wonderful! It had everything I needed to feel at home. This was a quick trip for me and location was one of the most important aspects of this trip. It was very close to the National Assembly building and the subway station was very close. This was a great location for me! It was very clean and felt like home! Thank you so much! This was my first experience with airbnb and I am glad I stumbled upon this site. I am looking forward to returning to Korea soon whether it's visiting or business! Thank you!!
Great location and very near subway, grocery, restaurants and Starbucks! Jaemu picked us up from the airport and made helpful suggestions about places to visit. The A/C turned off 3 times during the night during our 2-week stay, but when we noticed it, I just turned it back on and it was okay. Not sure if this was due to programming or something else. Overall, it was quite sufficient for us to enjoy our visit to Seoul! Thanks, Jaemu!
the room was perfect location everything I needed was close by
even had a rest. in the basement floor, very convinient. room was
a little small but it was o.k.
Like others I enjoyed this apartment. The location was really excellent and the usability of the subway system enabled me to get around and see what I wanted to see. It took me a few days to find the comprehensive supermarket located in the subway station: enter at exit 1 and then turn left. There were plenty of good places to eat and I particularly enjoyed Pho Bay, the Vietnamese place close by. Two doors down I enjoyed a foot massage and a back massage. Both beds were hard so I purchased a camping mattress which I hope will be useful to others. Kitchen equipment was fairly minimal but it did enable me to prepare basic meals. Overall, a good experience and I would use this site again.
This place was wonderful and the location was perfect. I stayed for two weeks and had the best time. Jaemu met me at the apartment when I arrived and walked me through what the apartment had to offer. This place is so close to Mapo Station and the Han River, it was easy to get to other locations in Seoul AND take a long walk along the river.
I highly recommend this location to anyone who wants a great place to stay and to be within easy reach of transportation. I would definitely stay here again if in Seoul on another trip!
Before we even boarded the plane, we had good directions from Jaemu about how to get from the airport to the apartment. When we arrived, Jaemu was already at the apartment to welcome us. He speaks English very well. The apartment is a small studio, which I think is more than adequate for a couple or a single person, and the price is very, very fair. I liked pretty much everything about the apartment: comfortable overhead and underfloor heating, clean, all the plumbing and electricity worked fine, free reasonably fast WiFi, excellent location just a two-minute walk from the subway station, plenty of blankets, plenty of toiletries, very nice modern showerhead and tub, and easy entry via access code so there's no need to carry around a key. I also found some very useful subway maps left in the apartment. I would strongly recommend this apartment to an individual or couple who plan to come to Seoul and do lots of sightseeing due primarily to its comforts, price, and convenience. I would not recommend it to anyone planning to entertain a group of more than 3-4 people, as the apartment and its kitchen are quite small.
I had a 2 night stay in this studio in february 2013. The studio is located right next to the Han river & Mapo bridge. so, the view was very nice!
