Sanur was an old fishing village, with lots of neighborhood activities; my place is far enough away from the main road for peace & quiet. Sanur is famous for its amazing sunrise.
8 – 10 mins walk to the beach where there are many restaurants & souvenir shops nearby.

Airport is located 15km to Sanur
Sanur is located 11km by taxi to famous Kuta Beach.
Kuta is the main party area of Bali, but with that come’s a certain amount (lots) of chaos.

Sanur is less crowded & has a nicer atmosphere for a mellow holiday.
It also has calmer waters and is excellent for sunbathing or just strolling/push biking along the boardwalk.

DENPASAR – has a various attractions and is only a 15 minute taxi ride away from Sanur.

Jl Sulawesi is the street for fabrics of all color’s & types, but includes various silver & precious stone shops.
Pasar Badung is the wet market full of everything Balinese as well as fresh produce, fruits, spices etc. Across the river is the Kumbasari which is the main art market in Denpasar where you will find arts, crafts and some little treasures to remember your holiday by.
Jl Hasanudhin is commonly known as Gold Street and has something for everyone.

Taxis are always available but if you need a driver & car this can be arranged for you at prices established on the day.
Car Rental: Licensed Driver and fuel from RP(phone number hidden) per 8-hour day

Car & motorbike hire is also available, but PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR INTERNATIONAL DL
My location is near to everything you need to see in Sanur by foot, Hardy’s Supermarket, and surrounding cafe's & shops are only a 4-5 minute walk from my house.

Sanur in general is a very central location to Ubud 25km, Denpasar 9km & Kuta 11km, but unlike these areas, it still retains a slow village atmosphere. A good place to start and after a hectic day out & come home to and chill.

Continental Breakfast (Tea, coffee (Coffee, Tea facilities & water all day), Juice, fruit, toast & Jam are included, FROM 07.30h to 10.30h. (Flexibly within reason)
** Please advise housekeeper the day before, if you want breakfast before 07.30h

*** You are welcome to us micro wave, kettle & toaster. Coffee, tea and water served all day****

  • My stay at Eileen and Tin's was so rewarding!
Eileen went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and had a great time. She took me to great restaurants, shops, outlet stores and markets. She set me up with a phone, spa treatments, a driver and lots of tips about Sanur. We had lots of laughs!
Tin made awesome brekky and looked after my special dietary requirements. She also organised my laundry for me and kept my room clean.
The room is very clean and well presented. It has air con, safety box, cable tv and a dvd player etc... I had everything I needed. The bed is super comfortable and the villa quiet, this ensured I had a perfect sleep each night. The ensuite is large and clean (with a bath too). The water is safe enough to clean your teeth so this was an added bonus.
Additional things that made Eileen's an amazing place to stay (I even extended my stay and plan to return soon...) fast and reliable Wi-Fi, unlimited pure drinking water, coffee all day, insect repellent and toiletries available, a beautifully relaxing outdoor area with pool and sun chair and of course - a gorgeous dog for extra company - love ya Sugar!
It was wonderful to feel so welcome and cared for especially over Christmas. I couldn't have asked for a better home stay during this time.
I look forward to more nights out with Eileen and of course, another stay! Thank you!

  • Eileen and Sugar's place was a great place to stay during my short 3-day trip in Sanur. The villa was absolutely clean and convenient, only minutes to the beautiful beach and restaurants. I walked to the beach once in the morning and once in the afternoon every day. The sunrise, something you definitely don't want to miss, was stunning. Eileen and her helper were very helpful and knew the area well. Strongly recommended to anyone who wants a nice relaxing vacation in Bali.

  • I spent a most enjoyable time at Elaine's place in Sanur. The house is tucked away in the gangs and lanes of Sanur, beach and other places are In easy walking distance. The house and the bedroom are comfortable, a very good place to adjust to the environment and climate of Bali. i enjoyed the verandah and the garden with the plunge pool. I cannot say anything about the host as she wasn't there but I have been looked after very well by her maid.

Thank you for staying and being lovely guest, Tin was happy to have you there, sorry i didn't get to meet you, hopefully next time.

  • My stay here was fascinating. Cosy and relaxing. Everywhere in the house was cared perfectly by the maid. I also had fun with the host Eileen. Surrounded by the real Sanur local atmosphere, very quiet behind the streets. Perfectly walking distance to the beach. If you just to want to relax this is the perfect location. I did not even want to go out for a beach :-)

  • Sanur is a beautiful place to relax and recharge your batteries. It is not so hectic and the pace is slower. Our decision to stay on this side of the island for the first half of our stay was the best as we found a quaint home stay villa.
Eileen was an extraordinary host, nothing was too much trouble from organising a driver to collect us at the airport so they knew where to drop us or sharing her local expertise.
Facilities were wonderful and staff gorgeous.
Local shops and restaurants are plentiful on foot, especially Manik Organic, The Porch and Massimo. Can't wait to return.

  • I had a great stay here, it really makes you feel like a local. I didn't get to meet Eileen, but the housekeeper Tin was very kind, and made us yummy breakfast each day. My girlfriend and I absolutely loved the dog, Sugar. Great affordable option in beautiful Bali

Thanks you Daniel, I am happy your stay was to your satisfaction and Tin looked after you.

  • I had an amazing stay with Eileen, Tin and Sugar. I originally planned to stay for three nights, however extended it by four nights and was sorry to leave at the end of this time!
What made my experience so special included the following:
    - a warm and welcoming host with plenty of valuable travel tips (thanks Eileen!!)
    - a clean and spacious bedroom with all the essentials and then some (A/C, fridge, tv with cable)
    - beautiful and quiet setting amidst coconut & mango trees
    - close to restaurants, a yoga studio / organic cafe (Manic Organic), the beach, internet cafe (if you don't have a phone or laptop with you), transport, etc
    - a friendly and attentive housekeeper (thanks Tin!)
    - mouth-watering breakfasts

I will definitely recommend this suite to any friends that travel to Bali, and hopefully one day will be able to return!

  • Eileen's house is very beautiful with nice decoration and furniture. It is walking distance to Sanur's main street and to the beach. The room is large, it has a very comfortable bed and a large closet. It has both a quiet aircon and a fan, perfect to cool down after a hot day. There's also a refrigerator big enough to fit two people's stuff. The room has a good size TV with international channels. The bathroom is huge, again very well decorated and has also a bath although I preferred to use the swimming pool outside which isn't too big but refreshing! On top of that Titin, who helps in the house, cleaned my room everyday, changing towels and linen when necessary. Also Titin served my yummy breakfast every morning, fruits with yogurt, coffe or tea, juice, bread and jam...thank you Titin!
Sugar, the little dog, is the cutest dog you can imagine... She is just adorable.
Eileen is a great host, she makes you feel like at home! I would definitely recommend her! And I would love coming back to her beautiful house in Sanur.

  • One of the best accomodations during our three week Bali Trip.
We stayed at Eileens place for three nights at the beginning of October. Since the first moment when she opened her Gate we felt very comfortable and enjoyed the nice talks on her terrace. She provided us with helpful insights and gave us a geat introduction into Sanur´s daily life.
Her villa is a wonderful and clean place which offers great opportunies to relax. The huge bed is really comfortable and the can be cooled down via air condition. In addition the private bathroom enables to take a shower after a wonderful day at the beach which is very close (approx 5-10 walk). Breakfast was great!!
I defintely recommend everybody to stay at Eileen's villa - friendly, central, clean...besides it´s a pleasure to listen to her experiences about the years in Bali and her German is perfect. And for those who might have doubts because of the dog... Sugar is the cutest toy poodle we´ve ever seen. My girlfriend is usualy not that into dogs... but this tiny animal managed to engage her sympathy.

Thank you Stephan for your kind comment..hope to see you soon again :-)

  • Eileen was a perfect Host and her place is lovely. Very Clean and you got everything you need for a nice stay in Sanur. She even offered me to go out with her and a friend of hers.. And I didn't regret saying yes because it was really fun! Eileen is very open minded and it's always good to get some insights from a person who traveled the whole world.

Her maid is really nice too and my room got cleaned everyday. The WiFi was fast (in Bali that means ~1Mbit) and reliable.

Im usually not that much into dogs but that little poodle Sugar was so unbelievable cute I would have loved to take her with me in the end :)

Can't complain about anything! A very good place to explore Sanur or just relax
