  • Stayed with my wife at Country Rose for two days in June, (website hidden) Rose has a very convenient location that enables you entrance to various points of Yosemite if you plan to visit park for several days (and you should spend at least a couple of days there).

Mary Kay and Steve are a wonderful and very welcoming hosts that make everything for you stay with them is comfortable.

The room was cosy, clean and had everything you need to get rest from a busy day in Yosemite.

Make sure to check out the food and Yosemite recommendations from Mary Kay. Especially the South Gate Brewery Company place. The food and beer there was simply amazing!

Would definitely recommend to everyone planning to go to Yosemite and will do our best to return there in some time in future.

  • my husband and i absolutely loved our stay! we stayed two nights, and steve and mary kay were very gracious hosts. they were friendly, full of helpful information and fun conversationalists.

    the room:
with it's private entrance, is small, but clean and comfortable. the bathroom is spacious and has a big jacuzzi tub as well as a small refrigerator. the only thing to note is that one wall is adjacent to the kitchen, and since breakfast is at 8am, you'll hear it being made around 7. this didn't bother us, but if you're a light sleeper, it's something to consider.

    speaking of breakfast!
the food is amazing. coffee, orange juice, yogurt and fresh fruit are on the table. everything is served family style. in addition, mary kay made blueberry pancakes and scrambled eggs with herbs and cheese the first morning we were there, and raspberry french toast and fried eggs the second. it's all quite delicious, and perfect before a day of hiking in yosemite.

ten miles / twenty minutes south of the yosemite entrance (but still north of the main part of oakhurst) makes the location extremely convenient.

  • Had a lovely stay with Mary Kay and Steve, both are very welcoming and accommodating hosts. Room has everything you will need and is impeccably clean. About an hour from Yosemite Valley Floor but on the way you pass Mariposa Grove and Glacier Point, both of which are must-stops so is great to include those on your travel to/from Yosemite.
All the reviews on Mary Kay's breakfasts are to be believed-we had the most amazing raspberry French toast which I loved so much she even gave me some as a pack up! They have a beautiful deck area and pool, such a shame we didn't get to use it.
Really easy to find as just off the main road from Yosemite to oakhurst, and has plenty of parking spaces. We drove straight to San Francisco airport which was a four hour drive. Would have loved to stay for longer, Bed Of Roses has such a relaxing atmosphere and we would definitely recommend staying. Thanks for having us!

  • Simply had an amazing time at the Bed of Roses bnb! Steve and Mary Kay are some of the nicest and most inviting ppl you'll ever meet. We stayed for the weekend in the Country Rose room, it is comfortable, clean and has some of the most amazing views from the deck! The Bed of Roses, is in the perfect location, just outside Yosemite village, away from the crowds, tent camping, but close enough to make your morning journey to Yosemite village to see some of the most beautiful hikes I've ever seen.

Steve and Mary Kay were particularly very helpful/knowledgable on the best hikes and stops along the way. We followed their itinerary and we had a great time. Will come again! Thank you both

  • We had a very nice stay here. Mary and Steve are super sweet and Mary makes a great breakfast. They'll tell you all you want to know about places to go in Yosemite over breakfast.

The location is fairly close to the south entrance of Yosemite. It's not the closest option, but close enough, and it's right on the edge of Oakhurst which is a good sized town with lots of dining options.

Our room was quiet with a big tub, a decent bed, a tv with cable and a DVD player, and a mini fridge. The heater kept us plenty warm during the night. The Wifi connectivity was good.

  • This was our first Airbnb stay and we enjoyed it a lot. Thanks to Mary and Steve for making it easy and very comfortable for us. They are an amazing couple. The breakfast was great. We were there on the valentines day weekend and the BnB was full. It was nice having breakfast with three other couples who spent the night there. After the breakfast Mary took a picture of us holding a small whiteboard with our name, date and two words to describe the place. Steve emailed the picture to us. :) I thought it was a nice and fun touch. Mary and Steve gave us a lot of information on places to visit at yosemite. The room was very clean and cozy. I would definitely recommend this place to my friend's in the future.
