  • Pramod is the type of guy who will not judge you by your reviews. He'll take you in and would know for himself. His family will not give up on you if you need them. The house is spotless.

  • This is a wonderful respite from the craziness of Kathmandu. It's a short cab ride to quiet and serenity. The family is incredibly gracious and wonderful. We stayed there twice on our trip to Nepal and loved the warmth of the family and the lovely view and room. It was great to share meals and conversations with each family members. We loved our stay there.

  • Great stay just outside of the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. It's a pretty big open air house on the west side on a hill, and you have great views of the city and sunrise. The family was so nice and were very accommodating. It was truly a family atmosphere. The dinners with authentic Nepali food was great, and they were so eager to learn about me and welcome me in. It was truly like they considered me family. The facilities were all good, and just a heads up the power is only on in the evening so that's when wifi is available. Wouldn't hesitate to stay with them again.

  • I'm not sure where to start....but the word fantastic, unbelievable & caring come to mind. The Khanal family open there house to you as if you are part of their family. You are invited to join them for dinners (highly recommended veg meals). On tap Nepali tea is always available (thanks Santussy) . Happy birthday Prisha we enjoyed your special day ......and all the food. This is a true Nepali suburb and more relaxing than thamel which is only 30minutes away by taxi. They will help with any local advices & even negotiate (local price) for you.....advice - skip central KTM, taxi it in from the Khanal home...about usd $3 well spent. If we were to visit Nepal we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

  • We had a very nice stay with Pradeep's family in Kathmandu. The place is nice and pretty quiet, though at reasonable distance from the city centre (near "Monkey Temple" / Swayambhu, about 10 minutes walking distance from there).

  • Staying with the Khanals was every bit as nice as we had expected. The best part of the stay was the amazing vibe we got from Pradeep's lovely family. Not for a moment did we feel that we were im an alien place. We loved the mealtime conversations with Pradeep's brother Pramod and their gracious mother. Though it was off season when we visited, there were a number of Chinese, Japanese and American guests in the house with us. It felt rather like a long-anticipated reunion more than a first visit! Thanks Pradeep for opening your home to us. Highly recommended.

  • We loved our stay at this place! The family was extremely generous and kind and the house is beautiful and a good location being near the monkey temple and out of the chaos of Thamel. Pradeep and Pramod were both incredibly helpful and wonderful people - everything from posting our postcards to hunting down my lost baggage with the airline to organising transportation to Bhaktapur and Patan. Great meals are available if you feel like staying in. We would definitely stay with this family again if we were in Kathmandu! Thank you for looking after us!

  • We had such an incredible stay at Pradeep's house in Kathmandu. Beautiful home, extremely clean and comfortable rooms and the most warm and welcoming family. We were cooked the best Dahl baht we had our whole stay in Nepal made from the fresh delicious vegetables of their family garden. We recommend this experience to everyone visiting Kathmandu!

  • Pradeep's family in Kathmandu were wonderful hosts. They made our stay comfortable, and enjoyable. The location of their home is ideal, away from all the hustle and bustle of central Kathmandu, but walking distance to sights such as the Monkey Temple (we even enjoyed walk from the Thamel area one day).
We twice shared a beautiful dinner with the family, and the little one's are charming. Will definitely stay here again in the future!

  • Seriously the nicest home in Kathmandu! I had a perfect stay! Thank you to my nepali family for hosting me. Hot showers, thick blankets, inviting home, airport pick up, tea/toast in the morning, cell phone, option of having an all day driver, clean home, a towel, and house slippers are just a few things that made my stay here amazing. I couldn't ask for a better home to stay at in Nepal. I wish I had months to spare, I would have loved to stay here longer. I miss you all! Aloha.
