Hello! This is a nice apartment. I stayed there for 8 days with my husband and 22 month old son. It is in a great part of Polanco and you can walk to many great locations, bars, parks etc. I think the price is a good value for the area. And the door men are very nice and attentive. Astrid is usually super attentive and quick to respond when there is a problem. That said, we had a few issues:
1) we could not check in as planned. We let Astrid know in advance that we would be arriving between 630 and 8 am, and she said that was fine and that someone would be waiting for us. We were sent the wrong address and had to spend about an hour on the street with exhausted baby and all of our things trying to find the apartment. We finally gave up and checked in to a hotel down the street and waited for Astrid to contact us. Later that afternoon Astrid was able to reach us with the right address, and we checked in that night. Astrid partially refunded us for our troubles, and I believe we should have been fully refunded, but do not have time to manage the back and forth with her on this.
2) The guest bathroom door does not open...so do not plan to use it unless Astrid repairs it before your visit.
3) The TV did not work for us the entire time we were there. To Astrid´s credit, she sent someone to repair it as soon as we let her know we were having an issue (even though it was 9 at night), but the repairman could not make it work.
4) There is a slight unpleasant smell that radiates from the Bathroom with the shower...it smells like sewage...its not something that will make you want to leave the apartment, its just something that makes you want to get out of the bathroom as quickly as possible. It could be coming from the drain on the floor--and some bleach could likely fix it.
That´s it---remember to bring your own toilet paper, paper towels, and dish soap! She does not provide.
Overall, I would stay again if I had the few things above corrected before hand. But the partial refund after sending us to the wrong address and leaving us stranded on the street with a toddler at 7am will make me look elsewhere the next time I am in Polanco.
Hope this is helpful!
What a great place this is! Fantastically well located in Polanco - a short walk from the subway (if you're up for that) and opposite Tori Tori restaurant (well worth a visit just for the architecture).
Astrid could not have been more helpful, and the apartment itself is GREAT!
