The Wild Rose is closest to the breakfast table, and
has easy access to the community deck with a gas grill, the Keurig machine for early-morning or evening coffee or tea, and the seasonal swimming pool.
The Wild Rose, one room in our bed and breakfast, A Bed of Roses, isn't for everyone. Rose herself looks down on the jetted tub (no shower) and oversees a "funky" purple room with chocolate-brown accents that connects with the main area of the house, making it easy to be the first to the Keurig coffee maker in the morning for Newman's Own organic coffee. Don't worry. It's easy to get a good night's rest or a power nap in the luxurious queen-size bed. Keep watching for off-season rates on this room. It might be the room for you!

Perfect location for a last stop before Yosemite Valley. Room very nice and comfortable. Excellent and hearty breakfast, performed by Mary. But the most enjoyable was the warm and friendly reception. You can ask questions and discuss easily to Mary & Steve. A very nice place to try!
I booked this room with Mary Kay literally the night before my trip and I got a prompt response from her the next morning! Although I only stayed 1 night, I really enjoyed my time here with Mary Kay and Steve! The room was clean, the breakfast was better than any motel continental breakfast, and it really felt like home away from home. Even got to catch the Warriors game on TV in the room! I only wish that I could have stayed longer. Cheers!
Mary-Kay and Steve took over this lovely B&B one year ago and they put all their heart and a lot of efforts in managing it. The Yosemite Park was closed during our two night stay due to government shutdown. Although this situation occured after the official cancellation period, they contacted all people and offered to cancel the stay without any costs if you only wanted to come to see the Yosemite Park. This was very genorous and sweet of them as they would not have been obliged to do so. Nevertheless we decided to stay as planned. When we arrived they were in town, but left the door of the house open (very safe area!) with a nice welcome letter. In the evening they welcomed us like family members and also invited us to watch football with them and their son's family. We enjoyed it a lot even, though we fell asleep due to the long drive from San Francisco and because it was only our second day in the US. It was a great experience to share the family evening with them.
The bed was very comfortable and we loved the delicious breakfast which consisted of tea, coffee, orange juice, jam, yoghurt, fresh fruits and a choice of bread (toast or bagel). On the first day Mary-Kay made additionally a very yummy apple crumble and on the second day a great omlette with hash browns. It was very nice to have a great conversation with them at the breakfast. Steve is interested in politics and economics and my boyfriend enjoyed a lot the conversation with him about current developments in the US and Europe.
They also allowed us to make our lunch sandwich in their kitchen (you can store anything you have in your own refrigerator in the room) which was very helpful.
They were as well really helpful in recommendations what to do as an alternative to the Yosemite Park and we were able to see the Sequoia trees in another grove located outside of the park. We spent the afternoon in the sun next to the pool ... this was sooo relaxing!
The text for the room "Wild Rose" says it "isn't for everyone". We knew that it has no shower, but please be aware of this fact as you have to take a shower sitting by in the jetted tub which could be less comfortable for "older" people. But there are other rooms at the "Bed of Roses" which have showers :-)
Compared to other accomodations in the area which seem to be less comfortable and much more expensive, my boyfriend and I would highly recommend to stay at this lovely B&B where you meet warm-hearted people and can relax perfectly.
We had a fantastic stay over Thanksgiving with Mary Kay and Steve in their lovely home. They were both very accommodating and made us feel very welcome! You'll enjoy your stay no matter what room you book, and with close proximity to the south entrance of Yosemite you can't go wrong!
We have a really nice experience here. Mary and Steve are really welcoming and nice. They give us a lot of good advise about the Yosemite's National Park. The location of the house is nice. It is closed to the national park and we can see all the stars at night. The room is clean and beautiful with a awesome hot tub. We have a really good breakfast in the morning and have a nice talking about all kinds of things. I'm sure we will come back next time~~
We were one of the first guests to stay at Wild Rose and it was a great experience for us. The hosts, Steve and Mary were very hospitable and the whole stay felt just like home. The rooms are nice and well done and make for a comfortable stay!
