  • I enjoyed my stay at Remi's house. It's an easy walk from the station, and you've got lots of space. You've got a large tatami room to sleep in, plus another good sized room with a table and desk, both with lots of windows. Remi was also very friendly and outgoing. We spent quite a while talking and she gave me lots of tips about places to go and things to do all over Japan. Thanks!

  • Remy's place was great! Quiet, comfortable, and in an awesome neighborhood.

  • Remi provides not only a house but also a home.

The old house is cozy and clean.
living in Japanese style house is a great experience for a traveler.
For example, taking off shoes in the hallway, walking on tatami, and sleeping on a comfortable Japanese bed.

    Remi is generous.
I feel easy to use all the kitchenware, including the refrigerator, microwave oven and stove.

Remi collects those old good things and have a sense of humor and art.
And she can speak Japanese, Chinese and English fluently, so we can share our daily life to each other almost everyday.
She also advise me of Tokyo scenic spots, restaurants and coffee shops.
We even go to workshop together, and I would say it is the best day in my 18-day-trip.

Staying is Remi's house is the best choice I have made.
If I visit Tokyo someday, I will stay in her house again.

  • The house is clean and neat. The room is upstairs and is cozy and is bright due to wide windows. The single tatami is adequate and comfortable.
Remi basically leaves you with sufficient directions to find her place. Unfortunately, our timings do not match and did't get to meet face to face. But communications via emails and text message were exchanged and things went smoothly.
The location might seem a little out of the way (compared to the major spots) but the train system cures that issue. In fact it allows you to have a taste of a residential neighborhood, which is really nice.
There is a cafe close by which serves really good coffee and cakes. Right next to the station, there is a shop which roasts and sells their own coffee beans.

  • I had a great stay in Tokyo :)
The house is in a good location. The room is Japanese style, and it includes an extra room with a tea table. From Remi's house I visited many places in Tokyo and even the mount Fuji area. Transportation is easy. And in overall my trip to Tokyo was great!
    Thank you Remi! :)

  • Remi is such a wonderful and welcoming host! She is so sweet and her house is beautiful and cozy. The guest room is a perfect tatami mat room with a lovely conjoining sitting / tea room.

Her home is just a 5 minute walk away from Kamikitazawa Station which is very close to central Tokyo!

I had a great time getting to know Remi!
Thank you again for such a great stay!

  • I had a wonderful stay at Remi's place. She was very accessible and helpful and the room was clean and spacious. The location is great, just outside the city in a nice quiet neighborhood.

  • Remi was such a great host. Her place is located in a quiet area, just a couple minutes of walk from the station. Communication with Remi was easy, as she replies very quickly and thus my travel arrangements went smoothly.

Upon arrival we had a good talk, she instantly offered me help with anything related to Tokyo. Since I knew my way around I didn't need her help, still I think if you do ask her for advice, you will get information.

The room was very cozy, a traditional tatami room with a futon. The room has air conditioning and password for internet was provided.

For me it was my first time booking via airbnb and it was a good frist experience, thanks to Remi who made my stay very comfortable. I feel a little bad for being out so much, since I wanted to be a good guest, just like she is a good host. I can only recommend her place and her a host if you are looking for a nice place to stay in Tokyo. I'd do it again anytime. Thank you!

  • Remi was a great host! The house looked exactly as the pictures and was easy to find when I referred to the directions list. The room had A/C, clean and she left the key out for me in since she would not be home when I arrived. I was able to use the kitchen and found things easily. Was in a relaxed area and had a convenience store and a place to eat near by. Remi is also a good person to have a conversation with. Would definitely stay here again and recommend as a place to stay. Also she was very lenient with the time I could check out.
