Whether your staying for business or pleasure there is something for everyone.
No smoking indoors of any kind, there is a patio right outside if needed. Always use ashtrays or improvised ash trays (an aluminum can). Be respectful to other neighbors and keep it reasonably quiet after 10pm. Remember you are a guest here, just cause you have the rights the use the place doesn't mean you own the place (common sense). Treat the place and neighbors with respect and do not take ANYTHING (common sense). If leaving the premises make sure to lock-up patio door and to lock and deadbolt front door (common sense). Check-in is no earlier than 3pm, checkout is 11am (exceptions to these are made on a case by case basis, and depends on the other guest) Pool pass will be issued and is required to keep on you when using the pool and hot-tub. the 24 hour security checks all passes. Pool pass must be turned back in checking out. Hours of pool and hot-tub varies depending on time of year and maintenance schedule. Hot-tub is open all year round but is closed for occassional maintenance. . No glass cups, bottles of any kind by the pool and hottub area. must use plastic or can beverages.
Excellent! Perfect stay on the riverfront! Nick is very responsive and quickly took care of anything that came up. The place is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with anything you could need. Kitchen is fully stocked with cooking / eating utensils. It's in a good location, convenient to running path along the river, hot tub just a few feet from patio door, and 1 included parking space nearby. About 10 minutes to anywhere you'd want to go in Portland: by foot to Pearl (not actually in the Pearl) or by car to arts & dining on east side of the river.
Nicholas was an exceptional and gracious host. I felt right at home and was shown the ropes for the property in short order upon my arrival (seriously, the hot tub is about 10 steps from the back door, you can't beat this). The views from the living room are quite pretty -- an excellent framing of the bridge and buildings capturing the sunlight, and the waterfront just a stone's throw away. I actually didn't much interaction with Nicholas other than the day of my arrival, and the night I locked myself out in the middle of a severe downpour -- he definitely gives your space, and you feel as if it were your own. The location is exceptional. I highly recommend getting outside and walking around your first few nights in order to recognize how proximate the heart of Portland really is. I didn't realize it was such a clean, accessible, safe-feeling city until my time here (at least it was in the Pearl, and downtown). The condo itself is totally stocked with everything you could need w/r/t cooking utensils, basic supplies, appliances, et cetera. I miss it already and plan to make a return visit during the warmer summer/fall months (I stayed here in Dec/Jan).
P.S. The bedroom is ridiculously cozy. I don't know if that's a California King or what, but there's no need to decide what direction you want to sleep in... stretch out left, right, diagonal, or whatever way and you'll be completely covered. Have fun!
I LOVE Nicholas' place!!! The apartment is SUPER cozy and clean! It can easily accommodate 4 persons. The location is great. There is a convenience store right in the complex where we can find most of daily food, and within 10 min walk, there is a large supermarkt with everything we need. MAX Line Red/Blue is just few minutes walk away, wich which we can easily get in pionner plaza and downtown. Nicholas is very friendly. He always reply our message promptly. Highly recommend Nicholas' place!!
Guest's comments: "Well-designed, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bedroom and living room, average wifi speed, big tv and laundry. It is close to the max station for communing towards the city but the streets access for driving are not easy. The walking path next to the Willamatte river is both nice and relaxing. On foggy nights close-by trains make noise."
Nicholas and his apartment were perfect for our trip to Portland.
Nicholas was very accommodating of our staggered arrival times and made himself available if needed throughout our stay.
The apartment comfortably housed four of us (two of us shared the big bed). It's located walking distance to downtown and the Pearl District. Most importantly, we had convenient access to the hot tub and pool via the back patio.
10/10; would recommend
