Our small cottage is the best location for getaways! The 60sqm cottage has all you need during your stay and is located in an idyllic landscape surrounded with olive trees and vineyards.

The Space

We have a small but serene and cozy country house in Urla, Izmir for you! The house is built in a vernacular architecture that reflects the typical Urla architecture and is situated in a big garden with olive trees and grapevines. Perfect for a romantic runaway, a weekend trip, or a celebration!

On the ground floor, there is a living room with couches and a fireplace. There is also a full functioning kitchen and a bathroom. On the first floor you can find the bedroom with a double bed. Up to 4 people can stay at our house.

There is no telephone or internet connection, but only a functioning radio that has the best stations! It is the best place to be off grid!

When your reservation is confirmed you will receive an online map with the necessary directions to reach the house and a map of things to do in Urla!

We highly encourage local farming activities. We produce our own olive oil, wine, fruits and vegetables at our garden. As our guest, you will get the chance to taste our 100% natural products. A bottle of wine made from our own grapes will be our present for you during your stay!

An important note to remember: we strongly encourage you to make a booking at least 1-2 weeks earlier than your arrival date. Last minute bookings will make things much difficult for us, and could end up being an inconvenience for you as well. So please, let us know in advance! :) For further information and availability please send us a message. We look forward to hearing from you.

Guest Access

As a guest, you will have full access to the house during your stay. Clean bed linens and towels will be provided for you. The house has a shower with 24/7 hot water. The kitchen has all the basic utensils available and our guests are more than welcome to use all pans/plates etc.

Interaction with Guests

Upon your arrival, we will be present at the house to greet you and welcome you to the house. We will go over the basic rules of the house, and leave you the keys. Before your check-out, we will drop by to recieve the keys and say goodbye.

The Neighborhood

Our cottage is located in an agricultural zone and is surrounded by local farms.

  • We had a great relaxing stay. The house is just as nice as in the pictures and our hosts were kind enough to generously stock the fridge with everything one might need for a filling turkish breakfast or brunch. This is definitely a big plus and much appreciated since there are no stores nearby within walking distance.

The vinyard, olive groves and fruit garden are lovely with birds and the odd stray cat making good company. The only annoying thing can be the sound of the highway (you only hear it but don't see it), but apart from that everything was great.

Emre was also there (by phone) to help when we got lost and his parents were also helpful. If you visit the cottage, I suggest making sure you have internet on the way as this makes the place easier to find, otherwise it can be a bit tricky. Overall a good experience.

  • The Cottage is just lovely and cute - exactly like on the pics. The location is really good - very quiet, in the middle of nature, with a lot of privacy. Urla is a nice small town - not touristic, and close to Izmir, Alacati, Cesme. We were looking for an authentic retreat away from the hustle of Izmir - and we found it here. Thanks a lot! Recommend!

  • In our second stay in this cozy cottage, again we had wonderful time. We arrived very late and the food in the fridge saved our next morning breakfast. For city escapes, we love this place and Urla. This time we explored more the villages around, fish and local restaurants, ecological producers and spent more time at home. Thank you Emre and his family.

  • Thanks for Emre ,his mother and father.
We spent 3 beautiful days in Urla thinking whether to stay and live the property or to go see around. The cottage is more than cosy that you see in the pictures. Completely in the nature with lots of olive trees and grapes in the frontyard and fruit trees in the backyard and also very close Urla and other attractions like local wineries, local bazaars... We will definetly be back and live a bit more the property.
Thanks a lot again and hope to be there soon.

  • What a wonderful experience! This cozy cottage is exactly as the pictures portray. What can't be expressed by the pictures, is the friendliness of the hosts. Upon our arrival, they welcomed us warmly and had stocked our fridge with home-made delectables, including some from-the-premises wine!
The house had everything that you could want (including a wonderful old radio), for those looking to get-away from a hectic life pace. A wood-burning fireplace kept us cozy even in the coolness of evenings. It even came complete with an adorable neighbourhood cat. And the pomegranate, apple, mandarin fruit trees kept us well supplied during our stay.
Would recommend having a rental car, so that you can easily get to some of the beautiful surroundings. The only disappointment, was being able to hear the noise from the highway traffic (particularly during morning hours, while enjoying breakfast on the terrace…best drowned out by the radio).
Can't wait to go back and enjoy another holiday in this idyllic place! Thanks to Emre and his family for being such wonderful hosts:-)

  • When we decided to have our wedding party and honeymoon in Urla we were looking for an accommodation in Urla and found Emre and his house via airbnb. The pictures are self-explanatory and we booked the house immediately.

We arrived with great expectations and we were surprised that the house was even more beautiful and cosy that we were informed via airbnb.
Also the first contact with our hosts worked perfect and we were presented with a full fridge.

We enjoyed the house as our refugium for nearly three weeks, had fresh grapes from the grapevine and were accompagnied by a cat that we named `köfte`.

The house is simple but nearly full equipped even with a dishwasher. It was really hot the first days but the house made of stone and new renovated kept cool inside and during the night the wind cooled the house also.

We also invited friends and they envied us for the perfect spot. .

We really felt in love with the house and after three weeks it was hard to leave again.

We want to say many thanks to Emre and his parents that they allowed us to stay in such a perfect holiday destination.

When we come back to Urla, for sure we will have a look at the house again.

Whoever will be our follower, congratulations that you found the house.

  • The house is very cosy and nice.
Bathroom is not very convenient, but the rest of the house is!
We were there in winter, but we weren't cold since there is a fireplace and a heater.

Urla is developing, but yet not much to do. Izmir is less than half an hour drive and a great city.

    Thanks to Emre & dad!

I am a young architect currently studying in Denmark. I have been living around Europe since I started university. First in Italy, then in the Netherlands and finally, Denmark. Now, I find myself in a lovely country, and a lovely city; Copenhagen. Currently I am doing a Master Degree, and hoping to graduate in a few years. Apart from my studies, I spent most of my free time doing sports. I have been actively training Crossfit since 2 years, and hoping to become more competitive in the upcoming years. I love being outdoors, enjoying any type of weather, and travelling to new places, whether it be cities or the nature. Along with Airbnb, I am an active member of other volunteer hosting networks.
