We highly encourage local farming activities. We produce our own olive oil, wine, fruits and vegetables at our garden. As our guest, you will get the chance to taste our 100% natural products. A bottle of wine made from our own grapes will be our present for you during your stay!
An important note to remember: we strongly encourage you to make a booking at least 1-2 weeks earlier than your arrival date. Last minute bookings will make things much difficult for us, and could end up being an inconvenience for you as well. So please, let us know in advance! :) For further information and availability please send us a message. We look forward to hearing from you.
As a guest, you will have full access to the house during your stay. Clean bed linens and towels will be provided for you. The house has a shower with 24/7 hot water. The kitchen has all the basic utensils available and our guests are more than welcome to use all pans/plates etc.
Interaction with Guests
Upon your arrival, we will be present at the house to greet you and welcome you to the house. We will go over the basic rules of the house, and leave you the keys. Before your check-out, we will drop by to recieve the keys and say goodbye.
Our cottage is located in an agricultural zone and is surrounded by local farms.
Public transit around our house is limited. Therefore we suggest our guests to arrive with a car, either own or rental.
We have 3 very important rules about our house.
1) We, as a family are non-smokers. Therefore we expect you to respect this fact by not smoking indoors.
2) We expect you to leave the house as clean & tidy as you receive from us.
3) We expect you to be respectful to the surroundings, and keep in mind that this is a calm farming area.
Failure in respecting these rules may result in cuts from the deposit. For detailed instructions, please refer to the house manual once you arrive at our house.
It is a very nice small house in the wineyard with almost no neighbours around. Ideal if you want to stay in a quiet place. But you will need a car to travel to the shop, the beach and local sites.
The host is very welcoming and we received explanations of where to find shops and local restaurants recommendations.
It was a great stay at this carefully thought and built house in the middle of nature. Although we wanted to do lots of things around Urla, we could not get ourselves out of the house because it was so peaceful.
Emre's mom and dad greeted us during check-in, explained intricacies of the house and left us with a near full fridge.
Me and my wife enjoyed a short stay on Emre's place. It was a great vacation and would definitely come stay here again.
We had a decent stay at this lovely cottage, although the pictures give a somewhat more positive image of the house.
We were welcomed by the extremely kind and helpful parents of Emre, who also gave us valuable advice on restaurants in the area.
We were probably unfortunate that for the 3 days of our stay there was a very strong smell from the farms surrounding the house, which was at times slightly disturbing. The neighbourhood cats can also be a nuisance (my personal view...).
Regarding the area, Urla doesn't strike me as the friendliest area and we felt much comfortable when we drove to Iskele for instance. Also, I can't really judge about the security of the area as you are indeed somewhat outside the town with not much around.
Overall, this is a decent and very charming house, tastefully decorated, very peaceful and secluded, thus good to disconnect from the rest of the world for a while!
Truly this cottage is all we hoped it would be. Well cleaned and stocked with local wine and food when we arrived. The kitchen was easy to use, the living room very cozy and comfortable and the terrace exactly like the pictures show it. We could eat ripe apricots from the tree in the garden and visited the recommended Urlice Vineyards in the area where we were shown around and tasted some lovely local wines. Emre's parents received us with a beer and gave us great tips, like the vineyard and the best local restaurants.
Urla was a nice town where we ate twice and had a great lunch at the beach. We enjoyed a boat trip from Cesme (half hour drive away) to some wonderful islands. I can recommend Saint Mary's boat trips. They have beautiful boats and unlike the other bigger boats, they ensure the trip is relaxing (bigger boats play loud music all the time).
A drive along the coast to Efes was also very much worth it. Nice to see some more of the countryside and Efes sports some of the most extensive Roman empire excavations.
Many thanks Emre (and for your parents!). This was a perfect Airbnb experience!
We had a great relaxing stay. The house is just as nice as in the pictures and our hosts were kind enough to generously stock the fridge with everything one might need for a filling turkish breakfast or brunch. This is definitely a big plus and much appreciated since there are no stores nearby within walking distance.
The vinyard, olive groves and fruit garden are lovely with birds and the odd stray cat making good company. The only annoying thing can be the sound of the highway (you only hear it but don't see it), but apart from that everything was great.
Emre was also there (by phone) to help when we got lost and his parents were also helpful. If you visit the cottage, I suggest making sure you have internet on the way as this makes the place easier to find, otherwise it can be a bit tricky. Overall a good experience.
The Cottage is just lovely and cute - exactly like on the pics. The location is really good - very quiet, in the middle of nature, with a lot of privacy. Urla is a nice small town - not touristic, and close to Izmir, Alacati, Cesme. We were looking for an authentic retreat away from the hustle of Izmir - and we found it here. Thanks a lot! Recommend!
In our second stay in this cozy cottage, again we had wonderful time. We arrived very late and the food in the fridge saved our next morning breakfast. For city escapes, we love this place and Urla. This time we explored more the villages around, fish and local restaurants, ecological producers and spent more time at home. Thank you Emre and his family.
