Located in a historic building, Dandidomus boasts modern and spacious rooms with free Wi-Fi. The hotel is located above the metro station Vittorio Emanuele. The hotel rooms have air conditioning, private bathroom with toiletries, hairdryer and safe. Breakfast is served in the privacy of their room.
Its central position allows travelers to easily visit the city center without having to take any kind of transportation, because most monuments and churches are within walking distance.
Many types of transportation are although available , especially the subway.
It is very easy to get here from both airports, Fiumicino and Ciampino, since all busses from the airports stop in the Termini train station, which is a 10 minute walk, or one metro stop away (Metro Line A Vittorio Emanuele stop). the Leonardo express train from Fiumicino drops you off at the secondary exit of the train station, which is just a 5 minute walk from us.
The area is full of nice restaurants and outlets for some shopping.
My boyfriend and I stayed for one night, it was an overall easy process to check-in and out. While the room seemed clean, my boyfriend stayed up the entire night sneezing due to a cat dander allergy. However, the included breakfast available at 6AM is a great highlight.
Dandi Domus has a great location. 1 minute from the nearest metro station, 5 minutes from Termini station. Two small supermarmakets next to the door. Very close to the Coliseum and Forum Romanum - about 10 minutes on foot. Generally you can walk to the city centre ,as we did several times. Shops just around the corner.
The staff is very nice and helpful, they answear all your questions. They try to satisfy all your needs. The room was nice and clean (cleaned every day). However we weren't fully satisfied with the bathroom cleanliness, because there was some mould on the walls.
The foom is equipped with a kettle which is very helpful (they also give you tea and water) and nice. There is also a good hairdryer.
The breakfasts in the cafe just around the corner are really nice (coffe and croissant).
Generally I recommend Dandi Domus - it's a nice place in good locations.
+ small, but lovely room
+ everyday house keeping
+ clean bathroom
+ nice towels (small and big for one person)
+ kettle and cups in room
+ so sweet breakfest (cornetto and coffee or cappucino) at cafe Kristol
+ Shan is very helpful host
+ location!!! 10 minutes to Colosseo, 10 minutes to Piazza della Republica, 5 minutes to Termini Station. You can walk around Roma :)
Apartment was in a very convenient location, both close to the metro and around good places to eat. Extremely nice people around. Highly recommend ...
- Good location. If you are going to arrive in Rome by air or train, main train station "Termini" is only 5 minutes away on foot. Day time it is nice around. But in the evening it is completely different. Streets look dangerous because of gang looking guys in every corner.
-Staff is Fantastic. Her name is Jari and she is totally happy to help guests. She gives all the information you may need once you check in. She makes all the best to make your stay better. Any special requests? no problem for her.
-WiFi is good. Good connection speed and good reception.
-Nice historical building.
-Warm water is functional.
-Breakfast cards. When you arrive, you are given breakfast cards to use in cafe in just 50 mt away. It includes a cup of espresso or americano and a cruvassant.
-A/C is disaster. It doesn't work at all. Just noise and no heating. It sounds like storm just outside the window.
-on TV, there is only national channels. If you don't speak Italian, there is nothing to watch.
-My room window was facing to inner area of the building. No view at all. Curtain is just a transparent piece of cloth. No privacy.
-Walls are so thin that you can hear anything from next room.
-There is city tax that you must pay when you arrive in Dandi Domus. It is €2,- per person, per day.
-Linens seemed clean but duvet is piece of junk. So dirty. If you are going there in winter, bring your own sheets to cover duvet.
-There is no "Dandi Domus" sign outside the building. When you arrive there, you must look for building number 39 and door bell with name sign on it.
It is cheap. Don't except anything normal standard. You get what you paid. I say, pay some more and get a better and safer looking place to stay.
Room was nice. It was clean and tidy. The people who welcomed us were nice. In terms of location, place is centrally located in Rome. Would recommend.
Great location and very clean rooms. Staff weren't present enough so getting information and advice was difficult. Aside from this, would recommend the place!
Nice little B&B, perfect location and e air condition worked, luckily. Would love to stay here again.
