My condo is in a quiet residential neighborhood less than 5 miles from Chinatown, Midtown, Dupont Circle, and the Whitehouse. It is accessible from Metro's Red Line train. It's on the 2nd floor with no elevator. There is a reserved parking space.

The space

This space was renovated in early 2012 with new hardwood floors, ceramic tile, and bath fixtures. The open master bedroom features a queen size bed. There is only one bed and a couch. Feel free to bring an air mattress with you. I am confident you will feel right at home and safe here in this quaint neighborhood while soaking in the full DC experience.

My building is less than 2 blocks from a red line metro station, a bus stop, and a Capitol Bikeshare. Chinatown, Union Station, Dupont Circle, U Street, McPherson Square, Columbia Heights, and Metro Center can be accessed on the train in 25 minutes or less. Adams Morgan and Georgetown are also close by. If you fly in to DCA, you should not really need your car but I do have an assigned space available for you to use.

I've been in the DC area for over 10 years now, ask me for references on anything!

We are walking distance of a Yes! Organic Market, CVS, PNC Bank, pizza shops, hair/nail salons, and an outdoor farmers market during summer months. The Excel Pilates Studio and renowned Dance Place are 5 minutes away if you would enjoy an inexpensive lesson in Modern, African, Hip-Hop, or Zumba style dance as well as pliates and yoga.

Basic cable with HBO & Wireless Internet are are included so don't miss the latest episode of TrueBlood!

See you soon!

This is a peaceful building and guests will be expected to be respectful of neighbors by keeping the noise down.

I am very allergic to most pets so unfortunately, you won't be able to bring them to stay with you in the apartment. I can, however, refer you to good kennels, doggie daycares, and dog parks that are close by as I do have a small dog that I'm very protective of.

Carlyn is a lovely young woman, friendly and very helpful. The apartment was neat and clean with a large living / dining area and a big bedroom. The bathroom is a little cramped but was sufficent for our 5 day stay. Having the metro 2 blocks away was great since we did not have a car. If you stay there a great place that serves southwestern style food is the San Antonio Bar & Grill, up the hill and left 2 blocks.

I had a great time staying in Carlyn's spacious, quiet Brookland apartment. Carlyn was a great hostess, and was very responsive to all my questions. The apartment is very close to the metro, which was great, and the reserved parking spot was a definite plus! I would certainly recommend staying here.

Excellent place! Ideally located, just a few blocks from the metro, and with parking - you can get anywhere in no time! The place itself is quiet, modern and comfortable. Nice and cool to retreat to during the summer heat! I would definitely stay here again! Carylyn was quick to answer any questions I had.

Carlyn's place was amazing!!! Me and my guest stayed for 4 nights and her home was everything I could have wanted in a home. The redline metro being walking distance from the home was great which helped us get around the city. There's also alot of food places that deliver to her home, should you not want to walk a couple blocks and try the restaurants down the street. She kept in contact with me prior to my arrival, while I was there and even once we checked out. Im sure I asked atleast 150 questions and she answered all 150 with no hesitation. The pictures listed aren't deceiving at all, her home looks just as beautiful in person as they do in the pictures you see. I plan on coming back to visit and I'm definitely checking to see if her home is available again.

I'm an introvert with extrovert execution so the Brookland neighborhood fits me very well. It's quiet and easy going but not too far from the hustle and bustle of downtown. I bought this place after undergrad to be closer to my job. Since I've been here, I've cultivated growing interest in domestic and international travel, wine, and the various museums DC is famous for.

I love the art of dance, especially Modern and African styles...every once in a while, I may dabble in some Zumba.

More than any of those things, I just enjoy the company of family and friends.
