About This Listing

Our converted courtyard house is a rare design gem surrounded by great restaurants, shops and sites near Drum Tower (Gulou). Cozy room, fits 2, with shared bathroom. Our 2 cats are very friendly. But, plumbing is old, so water pressure is not 5star.

Bar around the corner from the house that feels like something youd find in Madrid. Has a great event calendar full of jazz, swing, and live shows.

Really quaint cafe filled with vintage, secondhand furniture. Decent breakfast and coffee, cheaper than Zarah.

Best Dumplings in Beijing. Local spot, not just tourists like Mr. Shis.

Recently renovated into an enormous and spacious courtyard. Contemporary feel with simple brunch and go-to coffee options.
    Gulou East Street Beijing
  • Wudaoying Hutong

Shopping street with lots of random (mediocre) cafes. For food/coffee/beer, check out Vineyard or Stuffd. The rest are... unsure.

Local Beijing brews, great location for the summer as theres lots of outdoor seating.

  • Confucius Temple and Guozijian Museum

Quite scenic destination that is one of my favorites for a stroll. Not a usual tourist spot for visitors. Entrance is about 30RMB.
  • 铃木食堂

Quaint, minimal Japanese homestyle food with simple but hearty curries, bowl rices, and salads. Try their almond pudding and cheesecake.

  • Nanluoguxiang

Packed with people always, but especially weekends. Some boutiques, but mainly has become a pedestrian street for dirty street food.

Well-known live house for indie Chinese bands and foreign acts. Recommend you take a metro if you want to go.
    北京市
  • Susu 苏苏会

Courtyard Vietnamese food that is a little pricy but clean and healthy. Try their claypot fish over a wide selection of cocktails.
