This is a simple living solution with the privacy and luxury of a private room but there is no bed provided however there will be ample bedding.
About the Apartment:
You will be sharing this apartment with me and others although I am mostly outside on the streets of HK with my daily activities and at times I am out of HK too...
About Causeway Bay:
Causeway Bay or "Tung Lo Wan" is one of Hong Kong's major shopping and dining districts. It includes Sogo (where you will find all world brands placed side by side conveniently) and Times Square, a massive integrated shopping and dining complex.
There are also adjacent malls such as the World Trade Centre, Windsor House, Hang Lung Centre, Fashion Island, Fashion Walk, and Lee Gardens, which is located within a 5 min walking radius directly from my apartment building.
You would be just minutes away from all these major attractions!
Causeway Bay is one of the most crowded areas in Hong Kong and contains many trendy shops carrying both locally made fashion and varied products from Japan, Europe and the United States. As such, it is a popular social spot for young people.
Many shops are open until well after midnight.
The neighbourhood is brightly lit and you won't want to go home at midnight! Shopping is easy and sales are all year round with best sales at clearance of summer (August) and winter (February) apparel and discounts reaching as low as 90%.
Proximity to Transportation:
2 Min walk to Causeway Bay MTR exit points
1 Min walk to major bus stops as well as the HK tram line where u pay only HK$2.30 per unlimited ride!
Cabs can be found on any street (and Paterson Street has its own taxi stand just in front of the apartment building or at adjacent Lee Gardens and Times Square)
24 hr Wellcome which is HK's largest convenience store network and MCL cinema and famous eateries Outback/Anytime are in the building block.
If you are planning on visiting the HK Exhibition Convention Center, a short bus ride takes u there in < 5 min while a taxi would cost < HK$25.
Victoria Park is the biggest green lung in HK and the very accessible main HK Public Library is barely 5 min away. Take a brisk walk in the morning!
If you have any further sensible questions on matters I may have omiited, please feel free to message me.
I am looking forward to meeting and putting you up in HK!

Very good location! very good.
For the room, actually this is not a room but a balcony made. very noise because a huge fan of a restaurant just in front of the window for 24h. so terrible. Tina's room and another room next to this balcony may not effect that much because of the good sound insulation of the wall. but you know this room is just a balcony, the wall, the window and the roof are all very thin and weak to defence the noise, and also cold at night.
I was shopping at the day time and very tired to back to this place and wow I can't sleep at all. The balcony is simple and small it's OK to me, but I can't stand the noise. It made me crazy.
Beside the noise, I was thinking that I could live with Tina and her family like a home stay, because I am a single female traveller. But when I arrived, I found the room next to my balcony was rented for 3 young boys. and my balcony can't be locked inside. which means everyone can open your room if they want. I also noticed that Tina's living room is also listed in the airbnb. so you can imange if Tina sucessfully rented out all the rooms (the balcony for 1 person, the room for 3 person, and the living room for 2 person) in her aparment. how terrible it is.
My girlfriend and I stayed at Tina's place along Paterson St. for five nights, and it was everything that we expiated. Her home is unbelievably close to Causeway Bay station, which makes it incredibly convenient to commute. On top of that, her area is very well linked by trams and buses, and there were more than a few occasions when we took a straight bus back home -- it was super easy. The house as a whole may seem crammed, and the corridors may not scream "safe", but Causeway Bay as an area is bustling with life 24 hours of the day. Besides, her building also has security guards. The fact that she lives above a 24-hour convenience store was also a boon for us, as we needed to pick up some travel necessities in the middle of the night. Tina as a host was also super helpful, and she gave us directions on how to get to Stanley from downtown Hong Kong. She'd also check up on our itinerary, making sure that we get to places in the fastest and cheapest ways possible. However, that is not to say Tina tracks your every move! In fact, it is the exact opposite. When she isn't giving advice, Tina is very easy going with when we leave/enter the home, and she left us to ourselves for the most part.
However, the blankets she provided were sometimes not enough for the chill at night. They were airline blankets, and were (for the most part) not enough to cover our bodies. Also, we did spot a baby cockroach in the bathroom on our first day. Nonetheless, Tina makes an active effort to get rid of those creepy crawlers, and that's deeply appreciated.
A point to note, though! The room for rent seems to have been converted from a balcony. That means that when it rains, the sound of rain hitting the metal roof can be extra loud. This may be an issue for light sleepers.
Otherwise, we had a great time at Tina's! She's always open to chit-chatting. We had a great time talking about the city, the food and her favourite TV shows! Thanks Tina, for the wonderful experience!
A very convenient location. Very helpful advises for traveling. Love the snake soup a few blocks away.
Tina is very helpful and friendly and gives a lot of tips & advices about travelling in Hongkong.
Tina keeps a clean, tidy home, and even though there's no bed, she lays out a mattress - firm & comfy, if a bit small - for you, and you'll sleep well. The apt sits in the thick of Causeway Bay - a bustling high-end shopping district. Your host Tina is moderately accommodating & somewhat bristly. If you plan to stay here, be as clear as possible about her schedule & when you can meet to be let in. As a business woman (and AirBnb is a business), I found her to be occasionally unprofessional. But if you just need a clean, well-priced place to stay, then that likely wont matter.
It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Tina's flat on Cannon street in Causeway Bay. The flat was very clean, comfortable and secure. It was also in a great locationin short walking distance to the MTR and plentiful shopping and dining destinations. 10/10 would book again!
Tina is very reactive, nice and efficient. The hosting is as described : simple, a bit rough, spartiate comfort, but convenient and very well situated. All further services are to be paid for - but the rules are written. We had a little misunderstanding with Tina regarding this but she was helpful and good willing. All in all, it's a good address for temporary stays.
The room was clean and we upgraded to another room with air-cond. during the summer. Thanks to Tina's useful advice to pre-booked online the cable car to see the big Buddha. We could have waited in long queue for hours on our last day in Hong Kong. A simple advice from the local would save your day in a foreign land. That's the good side of homestay despite a low privacy.
As Tina notified me in advance, the room was quite hot in Summer. Also perhaps because of typhoon and low pressure coming during my stay, there were several uninvited insects in the room. Tina is quite busy lady but friendly and always helpful. No need to mention again and again how convenient her location is. 24h Supermarket downstairs and MTR station is just a few mins away! For heavy suitcase carrier, the lift from/to MTR is just a few meters away from the closest exit.
She is in a very good location, super close to the MTR station and lots of shopping centers. She's cordial and helpful and lets you go around your own business. I actually didn't stay in this room, I upgraded for a reasonable price to her second spare room that has an air-conditioner. The second room is a bit smaller than the one pictured, but if you're only there to sleep it's not a problem.
