The smallest b&b in the Chianti...
... you will be the only guests!
Our place provides opportunities for a unique and tranquil stay in the countryside while still allowing visitors to stay within easy reach of the most art-filled cities and Chianti
You will be our only guests!
Away from traffic, noise and artificial light pollution, the licensed b&b is located against a magical background of woods, streams and vineyards. It is between Panzano and Greve in Chianti within easy reach of art-filled cities such as Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, Lucca and Pisa.
Our B&B is a Tuscan-style loggia with exposed beams and terracotta tiles in a rustic barn recently restored in an environmentally-friendly manner. The cosy double room stays cool in summer and warm in winter (heating off during the night, if you have other needs, please let us know). It has a private bathroom with showerbox, mosquito screens on windows and the door, a private entrance and garden with a table and umbrella.
A small outdoor kitchenette with refrigerator, kettle and microwave makes it possible to prepare breakfast and simple meals.
The garden between the wood and vineyards is ideal for spending a restful day. With a bit of luck, you will see the wild animals that live nearby, including deer, squirrels, wild boar, rabbits, porcupines, hoopoes, cuckoo, foxes, birds of prey and many others.
The atmosphere here is friendly and peaceful. Professional Shiatsu treatments are available in the house or under the sky.
Organic products for breakfast are available upon request. Euro 6 per person.
Guests may park at the B&B, or arrive to Greve by SITA bus from Florence. We offer high speed Wi-Fi access point in your room.
Minimum stay during high season: 3 - 5 days

A hely teljesen megfelelt a leírtaknak és az elvárásainknak. A házigazdák segítőkészek voltak, tisztaság, pontosság jellemezte a kiszolgálást.
I would like to give Michele Biese, her family, and BioNature the best possible review for my stay in mid-December. This is not the first time I have stayed here - my first visit was in 2008, and I have been back several times since, attesting to the comfort and quality of the room and the warmth and friendship of Michele, her husband and children.
The location is fairly remote, a five- or 10-minute drive from Greve in Chianti. It is peaceful and quiet, you can see the stars, and it is possible to hike through the surrounding woods and vineyards and on the winding roads to nearby small towns. The yard is full of fruit trees - Michele makes her own jams, so if you are really nice, she may share. Greve is a beautiful little town with a nice piazza, a weekend market, and many places to buy good wine.
The room is perfectly comfortable, very clean, well-furnished, and cozy, and provides access to a teapot and a microwave and lots of books that Michele has collected. The bed is so comfortable, and the room contains a small table for work and meals.
I respect the emphasis that Michele places on conservation and minimizing use of water and electricity, and on taking care of the Tuscan environment.
I highly, highly recommend this place. It is the perfect spot for a peaceful experience in the Italian countryside.
Michele is a great host! Her place is wonderful, clean and comfortable. The only real issues we had with the place is
1. Heat is turned off at night time. We visited in late November, the weather was unfortunately not the greatest. The room definitely gets pretty cold at night if you are not under the bed covers. It would be nice if I as the guest had the option to turn off or on the heat.
2. The WiFi was constantly turned off at night. Not listed in the description is that Michele turns off the WiFi during storms. This was a problem for us as it stormed every night. For us, we use the internet to communicate back home and to plan our next day itinerary. Without internet we were handcuffed and left stranded without a plan until the morning.
3. At night walking to your entrance from your parking spot is very dark, there are almost no lights to guide you, it is about a 25m walk on unpaved road. I suggest bringing a flashlight.
Besides these three small points, what a great place to stay! The location is fantastic, just 10 minutes drive outside of Greve. Michele has great suggestions on restaurants in the area. Unfortunately we did not partake in her offered breakfast, but on our last day she gave us a taste of her homemade yogurt. MMmm! Very tasty stuff!
Thank you for hosting us!
I am sorry you did not ask for the heating during the night.
Indeed we keep it off until it is not cold like in Winter. On request, we put it on for our guests.
In the countryside it is not easy having Wi-Fi. We are quite lucky to have a strong reception and put for our guest's comfort an access point in the room which is very appreciated. During storms it is off as it can break due to thunders.
You were not very lucky about the weather. Every day storms are not usual. In Greve there is an Internet point were you could have had the opportunity to contact your family and arrange your next stops.
Same for the path. It's the first time someone complains about the short path leading to the room. Hosts use their mobiles, take a lamp from us or the moon shine accompanies them.
I am really sorry you did not communicate more with me to ask about your needs.
Well, where to start. My friend and I absolutely loved Michele's place. We couldn't have had a better time. Michele was so super friendly and helpful with anything we asked for. The breakfast was delicious, you shouldn't miss out on it. everything is home made from the bread to the jam to the yoghurt. You should also try the Shiatsu massage, its super relaxing.
Her place is surrounded by wine yards and the forest. Coming from the City we loved the peace and quiet. However its just a stone throw away from the village which offers everything you really need.
I can only highly recommend you to stay at Michele's place. we certainly cant wait to go back!
My wife and I stayed here for three nights while touring Italy on our Honeymoon. It was quiet and peaceful surrounded by vineyards and forest. The property was great: it is a restored tuscan farm house. Very clean and cozy. The host Michele was very nice and helpful. She was there for any questions or help if needed. We asked for the breakfast every morning and to our delight everything was organic or fair trade, well worth the extra euros. We also had shiatsu massages that were supplemental and well worth it. We were very relaxed, yet energized afterwords. The surrounding areas are excellent for wine tasting. Greve is less than 5 min by car. Plenty of wineries nearby. Michele also helped us reserve a winetaste/tour at Vignomaggio which is less than 5 min by car or a 30-40 min hike. The place is well worth it. Truly a bed and breakfast for some true rest and recoup. This is the place to stay if you want to be in the countryside without the inconvenience of having to drive a great distance to get to town. Thank you Michele for an exceptionally wonderful stay!
Michèle's B&B is absolutely perfect! She was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Her place is gorgeous and was a welcome break from the big cities. Breakfast was delicious and she had some great recommendations for us as to where to go, where to eat, etc. I would go back to Il Cielo in a heartbeat!
I'm Michèle, I was born in Switzerland and I have lived in Tuscany for more than 20 years. In the picture you see my family while we were traveling in Marseille. We love travelling around Europe with our aged, but still functional, motorhome.
I love my little b&b, which has been carefully developed with love and attention. Every year we meet so many nice people with whom we exchange ideas, opinions and experiences. I am also a Shiatsu operator and find the world of Shiatsu and Traditional Chinese Medicine very fascinating. I
continue to attend courses to improve my skills, and offer shiatsu treatments to guests at our b&b.
My husband Fabrizio is from Florence, and is the architect of our beautiful house. He is a social worker and also takes care of the land surrounding the barn. He is big a fan of reggae and world music. Our children Gioia (Joy) and Miro are young students. Joy is already at high school, and is a budding flutist. Besides keeping busy with studying, she has many friends and loves music too. Miro still goes to elementary school in Greve, and likes Warhammer, Lego and battles. Down the river there is a vineyard and a few huts where he has fun with friends. Milou, our black kitten with white socks, will happily keep you company too when you stay at the b&b.
