Check In
  • Really nice modern apartment, great location, quiet surroundings and easy to get to on the U-Bahn. Flexibility on our checkout time too was appreciated.

Only downside is there's not much privacy for the two upstairs beds/sleeping areas as it's all open plan.

  • First stay in Berlin for me, amazingly sunny and clean apartments, subway 1 min, cozy restaurant 1 min, grocery store 1 min away. Friendly host, fast and perfect service. Highly recommended! Thanks, Mario! Will be back soon )

  • Excellent. Very close to good bakery for your daily bread and u-bahn. Also Close to the nice Bergmannstrasse.

On the downside (besides the stairs) we noticed only three chairs, three cuttlery sets etc. But all-in-all a comfortable place to spend your days in Berlin.

  • Really good location.

  • Everyone's experience is different. My experience with this apartment was not good at all and it has nothing to do with Mario (Mario was very attentive during my stay), but it has to do with the person who is managing his apartment. I found the place unclean, no towels were left for me, the bed was left with a dirty duvet cover and a dirty pillow case. No bed cover. No toilet paper. All the dirty laundry from the previous six guests were left on top of the washing machine, with other sheets and towels soaking in water inside the washing machine. Mario had the person come to the apartment three times to do the laundry. The third time she told me with an attitude "why couldn't you finish doing the laundry, then hang them to dry?" because that's exactly why I went to Berlin. To do their previous guest's laundry. The shower smelled like someone quickly sprayed it down. Every time I ran the water, I could smell all the people that had showered there before me. The sad part is that the apartment is very nice and modern, it just needs someone to really look after it. The metro is very close and it's easy to get everywhere. Mario was always on top of my emails, but he would be better served by someone who is more attentive to his place and his guests. I would not go back again, unless there is a big change in cleanliness and the reception.

  • Mario is a great AirBnB host, we collected the keys from the cleaner an hour earlier than we scheduled which was really handy. The apartment is on the 5th floor, but as long as you are fit and healthy it shouldn't be a problem.

The best thing about the apartment is its location, it's a quick trip from the airport on U7 from Rudow to Gneisenaustraße, and a 30 second walk from the U-Bahn to the apartment.

The apartment was very clean and could have accommodated 6 people comfortably, although we were only 4 people. It was also in a really quite area. The kitchen had basics, but if you intend to eat in, then we would suggest buying a sharp knife and cooking utensils, as there wasn't any in the kitchen.

The apartment was a great base to explore Berlin, with most places a couple of stops on the U-Bahn. If you around at the weekend we would recommend going to the market near the Marheineke-Halle (Food Hall) which is also good. The area feels really safe and there are loads of shops and coffee shops to explore locally. Also check out the Jewish Museum which is within walking distance.

We really enjoyed our time in Berlin and would stay there again if we went back. Mario was also flexible with checkout as he didn't have any other guests arriving. Highly recommended!

  • Apartment was just like we imagined. Only minus comes from the equipment of kitchen. If some essentials like a proper knife and a large bowl would have been available, our stay would have been perfect.

  • Well located and appointed. At first daunted by 79 steps up but soon became accustomed to the climb.

  • Apartment is perfect. It looks the same as on the pictures and even better in live. We had a warm welcome and everything was very clean and tidy. The only bad thing is that the apt is on the 5th floor without elevator so be prepared to carry your baggage and later to walk up and down until you drop dead :). Beds are comfortable, refrigerator is large so you can buy a lots of groceries for cooking, kitchen appliances are very modest so check first if you have everything you need for cooking before you purchase anything. There are clean towels and basic hygiene stuff for bathroom. WiFi is working perfectly. Location is excellent for younger people and group of friends. Kreuzberg is very modern, underground, hipster and lively area and perfect as a starting point.
I recommend Berlin and this flat warmly!
