Andrea and her family where super sweet and accommodating! I left some clothes after leaving and she made sure I knew and arranged for time for me to pickup. The house was exactly as described. Highly recommended!
Andrea was a great host. She was really helpful and she gave us a lot recomandations where to go. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. The room was perfect with a great bathroom.
I would stay there anytime again. She made us feel as if we were home.
Our stay with Andréa was a wonderful experience! From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed by her and her family. The room was spacious and welcoming, with a large newly refinished private bathroom and writers nook. we felt immediately at home and enjoyed conversation over cold refreshments and tea during our stay. Andréa offered us a delicious selection of goodies for breakfast, which was pleasantly beyond our expectations. I highly recommend Andréa's listing to anyone who wishes to be close to Mt. Tabor Park and who would like easy access to some of Portland's best shopping, restaurants and sightseeing. Thank you Andréa!
Andrea and her family were very welcoming and flexible. I stayed with her because my son's family, who live not too far away, are in a small apartment. Andrea and her husband gave me interesting advice on Portland living and places to go, the opportunity to take part in neighborhood life, lent me a bicycle, and even took me on an unplanned field trip! The room is small but has ample closet space and a comfortable bed. This is a place for someone who wants interaction with their hosts and isn't looking for an impersonal hotel room or a place with a large TV. I am a grandmother with some pretty definite opinions about raising children, and I liked the way this family functions. Andrea is a folk singer with a wonderful voice. I enjoyed hearing her perform in different settings. All told, a great summer!
I had the pleasure of staying with Andrea and her family for an extended amount of time as I was in the Portland area for a clinical rotation. I knew absolutely no one in the city, but Andrea and her family made me feel right at home! They were warm and welcoming and included me just like one of the family. Their house was lovely and comfortable, and the children are a pleasure! If you are considering staying here while you are in Portland, do it! You'll be glad you did!
It is a very pleasant place to stay, and well located near a beautiful park, and all of the action on Hawthorne. It's a beautiful house, and Andrea and her family are very nice and accommodating. The only drawback is that, while there is a separate bathroom for this room, you need to use the upstairs bathroom to shower.
