Joe was very welcoming and the place was as advertised, small and convenient.
this is a very private room in a great neighborhood, within walking distance of many restaurants and shops in downtown San Rafael. Joe is super friendly, very helpful. I wish the bed was a little more comfortable - it's a sofa bed - but it was comfortable enough. I highly recommend this.
Joe was waiting for me in front of the house when I arrived and offered to help me with my bags. I found him to be amiable. The guest house is pretty basic and had what I needed for my weekend trip...a reasonably comfortable sofa bed, private bathroom, and most importantly, peace and quiet. It was a good size for one person. Their home and guest house are located in a safe and quiet neighborhood. I would say the only minor drawback is the musty smell.
Had a great stay. Wonderful location. Everything was taken care of and effortless. Host was easily available if I needed anything. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area.
Great location near downtown on a quiet, tree-lined street. Parking was easy. The studio was just as described, clean and comfortable. The fridge, table and chairs were appreciated.
Joe's guest house was really quite the perfect place for me to be during what turned out to be a very exhausting three day seminar. I could come back to the space and enjoy nothing but solitude and peace until it was time to get going for the next session. While a bit snug with the bed unfolded, it was well fitted out so I didn't have to leave to eat out etc. This was very appreciated as I had no energy to either find a restaurant or deal with wait staff and such.
Probably the most valued part of my stay was the help I was given when I discovered, much to my surprise, that I had left my suitcase in Sacramento (a two hour drive away). Even though she was pressed for time as she needed to leave to go to work, Joe's wife went back in the house and found a robe and something for me to sleep in from her own wardrobe. With them and a few things from the drug store I was able to muddle through.
Thank you Joe. It was another GREAT stay.
