We had selected the Tree House for a low-key weekend to explore the area during the off-season. Erin and Len gave us a warm welcome and made sure that we had everything we might need. The accommodation was luxurious, breakfast and coffee were top-notch, their company & conversation engaging, and the extra touches appreciated (bottled water, fluffy robe, literature about the local attractions, and suggestions for a scenic running route – to name but a few). Erin and Len are knowledgeable and enthusiastic ambassadors for all that Stratford has to offer. You are in for a real treat here! We will be back when the curtain goes up for festival season.
Erin and Len were absolutely amazing at hosting and providing a superb place to stay. From the moment we walked in, to seeing how clean and tastefully decorated the place was, to waking up to a world class breakfast, and then having such a great chat with Erin, this was truly a memorable stay.
We got everything we needed, including tips and recommendations on where to go around town, what to do, and how to enjoy the day in Stratford. We simply can't wait to be back and stay with Erin. Definitely a must!
A big room, downstairs from the main floor, opened onto a deck near the river and included a comfortable bed, lovely furnishings, a spotless private bath with fresh flowers, and a small fridge. Erin and Len had a warm welcome for us, and when we arrived late they made sure we didn't go off to the theater hungry. Then they drove ahead of us to make sure that we found the theater and parking in time for the show. Breakfast was delicious -- local yogurt, granola, juice, tea/coffee, and English muffins with special jams. The location is quiet and peaceful and yet close to the theater and to town. We couldn't have asked for more helpful and generous hosts or more comfortable accommodations.
Erin and Len are truly kind, interesting and lovely hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed conversation with them, and departed feeling joyful for having had the opportunity to have met them. Their treetop patio and wonderfully furnished guest suite open to woodlands and garden rich with bird life. Their love of nature is also reflected in much of the artwork throughout their home. Erin’s photography is testimony to a woman of extraordinary patience. The suite is well appointed, spacious, inviting and private. The queen sized bed very comfortable. Breakfast delicious and healthy. We will definitely stay with this wonderful duo again! Highly recommended.
Our 2 night stay at Erin & Len's lovely Tree House B&B was the highlight of our trip. We were greeted warmly and encouraged to "make ourselves at home".
We were delighted with our spacious, beautifully decorated private suite. The walkout to the patio opening onto the forested area and stream was an added bonus. Fresh flowers, Erin's photography and fine furniture all enhanced the room.
Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels and highlighted by Erin's muffins and Len's coffee.
Their home is well located for getting around Stratford for the Festival Events as well as shopping and dining.
Most of all, Erin and Len were genuinely thoughtful, helpful and very interesting people. We very much enjoyed our stay in their home and hope to return again.
From my arrival at Len and Erin's I was greeted with warmth. Len grabbed my bag and showed me around my comfortable accommodations. My private suite had a little fridge stocked with water and juice, a big bed laden with an extra blanket, settees and upholstered chairs and a private bathroom with roomy shower and fancy soap. There was even a fluffy robe on the bathroom door, perfect for lounging around and catching up on emails via wifi before retiring for the night. I wish that I had had more time to enjoy the back deck, but the view was lovely with pots of flowers and the greenest grass I've seen in some time! (Summer in Texas and watering restrictions meant nothing but brown dry lawns.) I was there on business, but had time enough to at least share breakfast with this interesting couple. And since I had to leave at 5AM for Toronto, they taught me how to run the coffeemaker so that I wouldn't have to stop along the way. They even gave me a travel mug! Erin's amazing photos decorate the residence and I enjoyed hearing about her and Len's travel experiences and other Airbnb encounters. I really want to come back to Stratford and take in more plays, walk through their parks, and do less work next time. When I do, you can bet I'll book my stay with Erin and Len! My business partners staying in hotels were quite jealous of the accommodations and the price! Plus, THEIR hotels didn't offer 3 kinds of unique marmalade with a perfectly toasted English muffin! Thank you, Erin and Len! Until we meet again!
About the Host, Erin And Len
Erin is a wildlife photographer with an exhibit next to the Tom Patterson theatre and also is a member of Stratford Tourism Alliance. Len works at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival Theater. We both love meeting new and interesting people and travel extensively ourselves using airbnb. We are avid theater goers ourselves and certainly can recommend shows, restaurants and events about town.
