WE DO NOT CHARGE EXTRA IF YOU ARE MORE THAN ONE PERSON
This is a two-story, fully detached guest house with private entrances, and nearly 700 square feet (70 sq. meters) of living space.
UPON YOUR ARRIVAL -
We greet you warmly upon arrival and show you all the ins and outs of the guesthouse.
THE SPACE -
Luscious interiors (always being upgraded) include all amenities you would expect in your home or a grand hotel, and more!!! Many custom-made features, tasteful and rich decor: bed, tables and desk were all custom-made and crafted for the space by a local craftsman and artist. Everything designed to make your stay the most comfortable possible.
The private guesthouse is on two floors, with access to a beautifully landscaped backyard (shared) with a professional gas BBQ (May to October). Eat inside or outside. So sit back and sip wine on a nice sunny day; or after visiting the local butcher and enjoy a nice meal al fresco.
We just added a beautiful handmade, wrought-iron day bed outside for your pleasure; 78" long so spacious enough for two to curl up.
The guesthouse sleeps 4 comfortably.
THE FIRST FLOOR -
The first floor contains everything you need to cook up a storm and enjoy a nice, relaxing meal. It has a fully-equipped kitchen and eating area; coffee maker, toaster. We offer you complimentary coffee and a nice variety of teas and tisanes.
Kitchen includes all new appliances: dishwasher, microwave, stove, refrigerator and freezer; includes all dishes, all pots and pans. We have a variety of spices; salts from around the world (see in pictures); pepper; and various olive oils (see in pictures) from our travels around the world. Equipped to cook up a storm with professional/chef knives. We love food and the guest house reflects this.
THE SECOND FLOOR -
The second floor is an open, loftstyle living space, with a living area (with pull out couch that sleeps 2), with specially-designed/handmade down throw cushions, and a sleeping area with a beautiful queensize, hand-made wrought-iron bed (made specifically for the guest house by local craftsman), with hand-made bedside tables. It has a beautiful skylight through which you can see the stars on a nice night.
Bed and couch each have 4 ridiculously-comfortable pillows. Mattress has a 4 inch gel pad for extra, luscious comfort.
On top of it all, all bed sheets are new, 600-threadcount, freshly laundered and ironed each time, with nicely starched pillow cases. In the winter, enjoy a nice warm down duvet (in the spring and fall, we offer a lighter down duvet blanket).
THE BATHROOM -
For the bathroom, we have the softest towels, hand and face cloths (1 set per guest), soaps (body wash for men and women) and shampoos, shaving cream, air freshener, toilet paper, and blow dryer. We also include the necessities for women to take off their makeup (and men too - hey its 2018!!)
You will find a variety of creams and some facial masks. So at the end of the day, if you want to relax and give yourself a mask, on-hand you will find individual-sized packets of various facial masks. So moisturize and mask !!!
WASHER AND DRYER -
The guest house also includes a washer and a dryer. So step out on the town with freshly laundered clothes. There is also an iron available.
WEATHER NOT COOPERATING?
If the weather is not cooperating, don't worry. Stay in and play with one of our board games, or snuggle up and watch a movie. You can choose from over 150 DVDs, something for everyone, even the children.
FOR BUSINESS TRAVELLERS -
We have everything you need. Umbrella, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, laundry facilities (for an extra fee, we will be happy to wash and iron your clothes), shoe shining box. Just check in, and leave the rest to us.
STAYING FOR MORE THAN A WEEK?
We will bring you fresh towels, and freshly laundered and ironed bed sheets and pillow cases at the beginning of the second week (and every week thereafter).

New quartz kitchen counter tops. Now also equipped with Apple TV for your entertainment, and a new 32-inch superthin TV.
SPA and SPECIAL SERVICES
We have teamed up with local practitioners. We can arrange for the following in-house services:
- Personal Yoga
- Massage by local RMT (check your health package for coverage; therapist will issue receipts)
- hair cut and styling
- Concierge service (we can pick up flowers, arrange an anniversary dinner)
- Grocery shopping
THE NEIGHBORHOOD -
There are several award-wining pubs within 2 blocks in any directions (House on Parliament was voted best Pub food in Toronto; The Stout was voted one of the Best Pubs in Toronto. There is also great sushi, great Thai food. There are 2 great grocery stores 2 blocks away, a butcher, and so much more.

We live next to a public library, and an amazing state-of-the-art indoor city pool (built in 2015), and admission is free.
And of course, we are only 1 km away from Riverdale Farm, so bring your children and visit the goats, ducks, pigs, horses, chickens and more.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire guest house, and we hope you will enjoy the backyard. Buy steaks at the local butcher and kick up the BBQ (May-October only).
You have your own entrances to the yard, and the guest house is completely separate from the main house. We are available at anytime to answer your questions. If there is something missing, let us know.
We offer free wifi. Password given upon arrival.
Other things to note
The guest house was beautifully renovated in the summer of 2015, with great attention to details.
CHECK-IN: From 4 pm onwards. We live in the main house on the property, so we can accommodate any arrival time after 4 pm.

Our home is in walking distance to Ryerson University and the Eaton Centre, and a 10-minute direct trip on the streetcar to the University of Toronto and the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO).
Allan Gardens, a park with a magnificent greenhouse and two off-leash dog parks, is a several-minute walk away.
We are surrounded by nearby public transit options.
One block north (on Carlton Street) you can catch a streetcar that runs 24/7.
You can also catch a streetcar on Dundas Street, which borders our block on the south side.
Both streetcar lines are about a 5-minute ride to two major subway stations.

THE BEACH
We are just over a few km from the beaches (Cherry Beach). So use some of our beautiful Turkish beach towels and head out to the beach. We have complimentary sun screens in case you forgot yours.
If you really love beaches, then we suggest you take a 15-minute streetcar ride to The Beach, an east-end Toronto neighborhood.
