Shannon was a terrific and attentive host who ensured that we had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The cottage has everything anyone could need for a fabulous beach vacation and is a very short stroll to the beach. I would highly recommend it!
Shannon and Bruce were great hosts during our 5 day stay at the cottage in St. Pete Beach. If we ever needed anything, Shannon was right there to help out and quick to respond to our requests, while at the same time, leaving us to ourselves and giving us lots of privacy. The cottage and pool area are exactly as they appear in the photos on the website, and the place is move-in ready. From a fully-equipped kitchen, to extra towels, blankets, bedding, entertainment and beach schtuff galore, there's little Shannon hasn't thought of to provide during your stay. I highly recommend the cottage to anyone considering a visit to St. Pete Beach, and hope to visit there again sometime in the future. A little slice of heaven on earth!
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time at the Gull Reef Poolside Cottage. The first day we got in we went straight to the beach. It is literally 2 blocks away. I loved having a kitchen so we didn't have to go out for breakfast or lunch if we didn't want to. They also had a beach cart with everything you needed for the beach, towels, coolers, kites, you name it! The only part I didn't like is that the house is right past the toll booth so to get to the highway/downtown St Pete or Tampa you have to pay $0.75. Not the biggest deal but something to be aware of.
Thanks again for a great stay!!
We stayed 3 days 2 nights at the Gull Reef Cottage in early February 2013. We found the location to be perfect for exploring the Tampa Bay area and the cottage to be a quiet haven for relaxation once we were ready to settle in for the evening. The cottage is within blocks to the Don Cesar, the historic pass-a-grille and the beautiful gulf of Mexico, and we enjoyed runs on the beach and strolls with our furry traveling companions.
Shannon was graciously accommodating to our family's needs. She was there in person to greet us, give us a tour of the grounds and get us settled. She was as hospitable with our departure, giving us a little extra time to depart and wishing us well on our way out of town.
I highly recommend the Gull Reef Cottage to anyone looking for a safe, clean, charming little haven away from home.
