Casita Blanca at San Juan Ranch is conveniently located within the heart of the Verde Valley, yet secluded enough for the solitude one desires. Nestled at the base of Mingus Mountain, the casita is an easy 15 minute drive to the hip scene of Old Town Cottonwood, 26 minutes from the mining town of Jerome, and only 30 minutes from both Sedona and wineries of Page Springs. Whether biking, shopping, wine tasting, kayaking, hiking or sightseeing, the casita provides a peaceful place to feel at home.

The space
Small, paved county roads guide you through curves and dry washes amongst a desert oasis of shrub oak, juniper, and cacti. As you make your way down the stone driveway to Casita Blanca, the vast Mingus Mountains serve as a backdrop as if to welcome your arrival. Located in the rear of the two-acre property of San Juan Ranch, standing alone directly behind the main home, is Casita Blanca. You will be greeted by a tile front patio, bright turquoise Adirondack chairs and a beautifully hand crafted custom front door. Once inside, a warm wooden beam ceiling, Saltillo tile, colorful rugs, and a kiva fireplace bring a true coziness to the living space of the casita. You will find a king-sized handcrafted bed, nightstand, dresser and armoire, as well as a unique southwestern dining table with seating for two. To the right of the entry, is a small kitchenette complete with a hammered copper sink, beautiful ceramic dishes, a mini fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. Tumbled stone sets off the bathroom of the casita, displayed on both the bath countertop and in the large door less walk in shower. The casita bathroom also boasts a separate toilet room.
The casita has ambient heating from fireplace for the coolest of nights and air conditioner for warmer weather days. All windows also open easily for those desiring to hear coyotes at night or the many chirps of birds that frequent the property in the early morning. There is a smart TV, the wi-fi and ethernet connections are readily available in the casita. The remote location utilizes Starlink for internet connection. Speeds range from 80mps to 150mps. PLEASE NOTE: NO SMOKING on property due to extreme fire risk

Guests have full availability to walk the property and enjoy the natural beauty of San Juan Ranch, which we highly encourage during daytime hours. Please be aware of wildlife including javelina, snakes, and coyotes and do not attempt to approach. Caution when walking, as everything that grows here has things that will poke, prick, and stab you!

Hi! We are a married couple, Buzz is retired, and Sarah is working from home as Quality Analyst for a major health care company. She also an R.N.. We moved back to this area after several decades in Florida. Tired of hurricanes, humidity and constant rain, this area was the perfect climate. We spend most of our time with our collector cars, attending cruise ins and car shows, or just enjoying a cruise around the valley. Buzz is also an old west aficionado and historian.
