Located behind our house and a block’s walk to over 13 miles of bike paths along the beautiful Willamette River, this charming, exquisitely remodeled country cottage, has a classy rustic vibe. Just a 5 min. walk to Cider Station (regional hard ciders, beer on tap and 2 food carts) and a bicycle rental shop, & just a short drive to UO, downtown shopping, eateries, & brewery district. Private & quiet with A/C. An Airbnb favorite! :-)

Note: Rates vary based on demand. Summer/winter rates differ.

The space
Park Avenue Cottage is a beautiful, very private cottage located behind our main house with its own entrance and brick pathway leading from the parking space to the cottage. It has been newly and extensively renovated!

Please note -

We recently had the cottage reroofed. It’s all done and weatherproofed, except the shingles which we expected to have on by now are on back order, so the roof won’t be it’s pretty self, but everything else is adorable and good to go! We hope for the shingles to be installed by the end of August.

This cozy, home away from home rests in a quiet, charming, inviting and safe neighborhood just a few minutes walk to over 13 miles of river walking/bike paths along the Willamette River, a few minutes drive to two major grocery stores or to Whitaker's bustling night life, less than five minutes away from more than 20 restaurants, less than ten minutes to downtown Eugene and a 10-15 minute drive to the U of O campus. Just 1/2 block to the bus stop which takes you downtown.

The cottage has its own deck with a table, chairs and a burbling fountain for you to enjoy at your pleasure. It's the perfect place to enjoy a beer or glass of wine or eat a meal. And if you are here during the fall, feel free to pick a few apples from our apple tree! Delicious!

Note: We are building a tumbleweed tiny house out behind the cottage. Don't worry, we'll work around your comings and goings and try to make hammering and sawing noises only while you are gone! Your peace and quiet is important to us. :-) If you are interested in learning more about the whole tiny house movement, come on back and take a look!

Perfect for 1 to 4 guests (an inflatable air mattress also available for extra guests). Satvaa ultra-premium, eco-friendly luxury firm queen bed downstairs (your slice of heaven). Sealy Queen mattress up in the loft.

Note: There are a couple things left to do in the cottage - I'm building some nice shelves in the bathroom and kitchen area to install in the near future.

Where you’ll be

Eugene, Oregon, United States

We live in a wonderfully quiet neighborhood in north Eugene, just a block from miles of walking and bicycling trails along the Willamette River and a five minute walk to the Cider Station, with regional craft hard cider and craft beers on tap as well as a couple of food carts. We have lived in our home for 36 years and love the variety of homes, friendly neighbors and 100+ year old trees in our neighborhood. We’re away from the bustle of the city, but just minutes away from beautiful parks, duck ponds, movie theaters, restaurants and downtown. You can also rent a bicycle just down the street (five minute’s walk) to explore the city along the beautiful river paths. We love our location!

Bruce & Jennifer enjoy meeting people from all walks of life. We are excited to be able to make our cottage a place that you will want to call home, even if it's a home away from home.

Bruce is a portrait photographer, composer, audio engineer, publisher, occasional web guy, wood worker and sailor. He loves Sci-Fi movies/shows/books and general interesting science and tech stuff. Nerdy :-)

Jennifer teaches a private piano studio, directs the Oregon Children's Choir Girlchoir and is a talented singer/song writer, and a great cook and foodie.

We love hanging out with our kids and friends, making and eating good food, creating and listening to music, sailing on our Ranger 26 sailboat (ranger26 website), watching spy shows and romantic comedies, and did I mention eating good food? ;-)

Feel free to come on over and say hello, you might even get a treat!
