The Space

We have a charming, 2 bedroom 1 bath Victorian home with sweeping views, a garden and a deck. You have your own bedroom with a comfortable doublebed and we share the bathroom. You're welcome to light use of the kitchen. You're also welcome to share our cat!

-easy, free, on street parking

10 min. walk downhill to 24th St., the trendy, shopping and dining street of Noe Valley

5 minute walk uphill to Safeway supermarket, Walgreens
pharmacy, post office, and a few eateries

3 bus lines within a 5 minute walk and the J Church street car 8-10 minutes downhill, 12-15 minutes up.

My husband and I are friendly hosts, happy to help you find your way around or let you alone, if that is your preference. I am a yoga teacher and body movement therapist, my husband is a mortgage broker. We enjoy meeting people from everywhere and like to practice Spanish whenever we can.

Guest Access

You can store some items in our refrigerator and prepare breakfast and lunch in our kitchen.

Many of our guests enjoy having a cup of coffee or tea on our back deck with its fabulous views of downtown San Francisco and the Bay.

You can also enjoy wireless internet access during your stay with us.

Interaction with Guests

Although we both have active lives, we enjoy interacting with our guests. We'll let you know when we're busy.

Likewise, don't feel obligated to be sociable with us. We know that you have your own plans and priorities, and we want to respect your privacy.

The Neighborhood

We live in a great part of San Francisco. The views are lovely, the air is fresh, the people are friendly, and parking is free and readily available in our part of Noe Valley (as opposed to many other parts of our neighborhood and the city).

We're close to great dining and neighborhood shopping. 24th Street in "downtown" Noe Valley is one of the most delightful neighborhoods in San Francisco. It's like being in a small town in the midst of a big city.

We're also convenient to the "Big City" and to all parts of the Bay Area. We are close to public transportation and to highways that can easily get you to nearby cities and attractions if you have a car. (See "Getting Around" for more details.)

Getting around

We are in a great location for walking, driving, and taking public transportation.

Many of our guests enjoy walking to nearby stores and restaurants. We are in the Noe Valley neighborhood which is well known for its cafes, restaurants, and shops. You can either take a 10 minute walk or a quick bus ride to 24th Street to enjoy the neighborhood.

Some of our more ambitious guests walk to nearby neighborhoods including the Castro, the Mission, and Glen Park.

We are on a steep hill, so be prepared...especially on the way back! Remember, you can always hop on the bus!

Public Transportation:
Our house is close to several bus lines: the 35, 24, and 52 lines are all a short walk from our house. The 35 is particularly close, a leisurely one minute and ten second walk from our house to the bus stop. (Yes, we timed it!)

The 35 will take you to "downtown" Noe Valley and the Castro within minutes. It will connect you with other lines that will easily take you to any part of San Francisco.

The 24 and 52 are both within 5 minutes of our house and will take you to many other neighborhoods as well as to other lines that will connect you to the entire city and to BART. We're happy to assist you with bus schedules and answer your questions as best we can.

We're in a terrific location for those of you who are driving.

Parking near our house is very easy and free (unlike many parts of San Francisco).

We are convenient to other San Francisco neighborhoods as well as to highways that will get you to anywhere in the Bay Area including Silicon Valley, Santa Cruz, Monterey, Marin County, Point Reyes National Seashore, Sonoma County and Napa Valley wineries, and more.

Taxi: Our convenient location means that taxi rides are easy to arrange and very affordable. Choose from traditional taxis to services like Lyft to get around town!

  • Judy and Ed were really warm and friendly hosts. They made my first airBnB experience a great one. The neighborhood was quiet and convenient, and the room was clean and comfy. As others mentioned, really amazing view from their deck! I only stayed one night, and we had very interesting discussions on varies topics. You could tell Judy and Ed are so willing to help others. Look at their guidebook on profile. I would be glad to stay here again and definitely recommend it to others.

  • Our stay with Judy and Ed is what Arbnb is about. Our stay was peaceful, lovely and too short! Their home is walking distance to everything you need. Great restaurants, coffee shops, bars and boutiques. Accommodations were comfy and the view from their patio where we had our morning coffee/tea (courtesy of our hosts) was breathtaking and relaxing. We're confident that if you're lucky enough to stay with Judy and Ed, you'll feel the same.

  • We spent 4 days in Noe Valley. Judy and her husband were very nice and discreet hosts. The house is very well located on the heights of San Francisco. From the deck, the viewsight is astounding. Judy was very thoughtful and helpful, she gave us a lot of practical informations on the city, the activities, transports. We warmly recommend this adress. -Nathalie and Francis

I'm a Yoga teacher and body movement therapist, happy to share my skills with you for a deeply discounted fee (just give me your tired, your poor). When I'm not doing yoga or helping others feel better I'm often imagining myself in a Latin American country such as Guatemala where I lived with a family and studied Spanish. If you're up for it, I welcome the opportunity to practice with you.
