Interaction with Guests
We let our guests set the tone of our interactions. We live in the house in front of the casita and guests will see us from time to time, but they may choose their own levels of interactions.
Historic Albuquerque that was largely developed in the early part of the 20th Century. Mature trees line the streets and lots of folks park on the street because they don't have garages, but out guests get to park off street.
Yes there is transit, and many sites and locations are also walkable and bike able. It is a neighborhood that is more urban than not although it is located west of the main downtown business district and also just west of Old Town.
Other Things to Note
4 footed visitors will be charged at a rate of $10. per night.
No smoking anywhere on property. Adore our 3 legged corgi/ chihuahua and 2 cats. They are primed to be welcoming to both 2 footed and 4 footed visitors.
We had a wonderful stay in Albuquerque. Susan and Dick were terrific hosts...we totally enjoyed connecting with them. The studio was stylish and clean. It was in easy walking access to the Old Town area and we even walked to the Botanic Garden which was an excellent place to visit. The neighborhood was a friendly place and very safe. Dick even took us to the train depot at the end of our stay. We rate it 5 star!
Susan's guest house was so cozy. She has created a tranquil space with touches of the Southwest, indoors and out. My favorite things were the incredibly comfortable bed, and the lovely patio with a fountain where we enjoyed some wine and chocolate before walking to old town. I would happily stay here again and recommend to any travelers to Albuquerque.
Everything just as advertised, such a nice place and made my stay in Albuquerque very pleasant - way better than the conference hotels!
This is a wonderful place to stay. Susan makes it very welcoming and has provided everything you need. The location is very central and while its just off a busy road, the unit is quiet, private, and beautifully landscaped. The only thing worth noting is that Susan's house is adjacent to the unit, and while there is a seperate entrance, it is fairly close quarters. In any case, I can recommend it highly and would happily stay again.

This is a charming and clean casita in a nice neighborhood with a great location near old town Albuquerque for tourist shopping. It is also a few blocks from a great restaurant, Cocina Azul. Susan and Dick are great hosts: very considerate and helpful. This rental is pet friendly and the previous tenant stayed for a month with a cat and I am allergic to cats but it was cleaned well and it worked out for two nights with the windows open. Lots of fresh air in this unit.

La Casita Rosada Inn Keeper and advocate for more urbanization in the beautiful and historic core of Albuquerque. That means I am an advocate of access for safe walking a bicycling to places in which we can tour, and do our tasks of daily living in a cohesive community of friends and visitors.
